Stuffed zucchini-boxes in the oven can serve as an ideal hot dish for any family or festive dinner. It is also worth noting that such vegetables can be filled with absolutely any ingredients - from meat to greens. In this article we offer a cooking option with veal ground meat, tomatoes and cheese.

How to Make Boats from Courgettes in the Oven

Necessary ingredients:

  • Flesh of veal without fat - 200 g;
  • Cheese hard - 130 g;
  • Medium bulbs - 3 pcs .;
  • Zucchini young small - 3-4 pcs .;
  • Mayonnaise of average fat content - 140 g;
  • Tomatoes ripe small - 4 pcs .;
  • Iodized salt - ¾ of a small spoon;
  • Large fresh carrots - 1 pc .;
  • Pepper, dried parsley and dill - to taste;
  • Vegetable oil - 2-4 spoons.

Minced meat preparation process

Boats from courgettes can be filled with any meat product. We decided to use lean veal for this purpose. It should be washed, cut into pieces, and then chopped into a meat grinder. To add a special flavor to the stuffing, it is also recommended to add onions to it. It can be finely chopped or processed like meat. After this veal with a bulb is required to mix thoroughly, sprinkle with salt, dried herbs and pepper, and then proceed to their frying.

Heat treatment of meat

Before you fill the boats from the zucchini with minced meat, it is recommended to lightly fry it in oil with the grated carrot. You can do this in a saucepan and in a conventional frying pan. After the meat is lightly browned and the whole broth is lost (after 10-14 minutes), the dishes should be removed from the plate, and then add finely chopped fresh tomatoes to the finished veal.

Processing zucchini

Boats from courgettes should be done as follows: fresh and young vegetables need to be washed, cut off the ends (also can be peeled off), split in half, and then carefully take out the core with a knife and spoon. As a result, you should get deeper and elongated shapes with fairly thick walls. Before you spread out the stuffing, it is recommended to grease them with salt and pepper.

Forming a dish

Ready and spiced bolettes from courgettes should be filled to the top with cold minced meat. After that, the meat should be lubricated with a small amount of mayonnaise, which must then be sprinkled with grated hard cheese.

Heat treatment of the dish

Filled zucchini should be carefully placed on a sheet or any other dishes, and then put in a preheated oven for about half an hour. This time is enough for the vegetables to become soft, and the cheese is melted and formed a mouth-watering ruddy hat.

Correct feed to the table

A ready dish of zucchini and minced meat should be taken from the oven, placed on a large plate and slightly cooled (not to be scalding). Next, the boats need to be cut into portions and presented to members of the family as a delicious main course. Also, to vegetable marrows you can make a vegetable salad, serve fresh wheat bread and tomato sauce.
