Because of what slime accumulates in the throat?

Does it often happen that you have slime in your throat, which you are trying to swallow or spit out? Is there an admixture of blood in it? Whether there are still additional signs, for example, a rhinitis, pershenie, some pain at swallowing? Do not hide the thought that these symptoms are completely harmless, since they do not seem to indicate a serious illness.

If you have persistent mucus in your throat, this may indicate the development of certain diseases. The list includes: asthma, rhinopharyngitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and others, including bronchitis. And perhaps this is a symptom of an allergy to a product or to certain conditions. The mucus accumulates in the throat most often due to the fact that the mucous membranes are inflamed in your throat.

Spontaneous sputum accumulated by itself can not accurately indicate any disease, since it is not the main symptom. Only in combination with other painful signs can you accurately determine the cause and disease. For example, if you have a constant eructation, after which the mucus accumulates in the throat, it may be a syndrome of malfunctions in the gastrointestinal tract. It's unlikely that when you relate the symptoms, you will definitely determine what kind of illness it is, unless you are an otolaryngologist. It is better to go to a doctor who will diagnose and appropriate treatment will appoint.

However, if the constant mucus in the throat is not accompanied by any other signs of the disease, then you can try to remove it. As already mentioned, one of the reasons may be irritation of the mucous membranes. Do you often eat bitter and pungent, do you like seasoning with peppers? If so, then know that such food, consumed often and in large quantities, can provoke inflammation of the mucous throat, which can cause permanent mucus in the throat.

Use old good money from traditional medicine. For example, rinse with a solution of salt. Such a solution kills accumulated microbes, removes mucus. Rinse with this solution throat at least three times a day. You can also rinse with infusion of herbs mixed with salt. Warm drinks can help remove mucus. Even such a simple remedy, like tea with a spoon of honey, can, with a gradual use, remove inflammation, stopping the secretion of mucus in the throat. Some herbal decoctions or chicken broth will help.

Inhalation works well. Pour water into the pan, adding medicinal herbs there, and bring it to a boil. Then tilt your head to the pan, opening your mouth and inhaling the steam.

If you have thick mucus in your throat, then, most likely, during inhalation, you will want to cough it out. By the way, it is important not to be exposed to the temperature difference after you have inhaled the steam. If you inhaled during the cold season, then stay in a warm room for a while, so as not to get sick - in fact in this case, the temperature difference can cause serious illnesses.

Dense mucus in the throat (sputum), as a rule, is green, consists of water and glycoproteins. The color of phlegm can say something about the state of health. If you have a thick mucus in the throat, the color of which when coughing green or yellow, then this is probably a symptom of bacterial pneumonia. That is, it can be a sign of inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.

If the thick mucus in the throat is transparent and is accompanied by headaches, sore throat and temperature above normal, then this is likely to indicate that you are sick with the flu. In addition to all of the above, sputum may be one of the indicators and more serious diseases - lung cancer, tuberculosis, asthma. If you have it with an admixture of blood, it may even indicate tuberculosis, but not always.

So, if the constant mucus in the throat is combined with other symptoms, then together with other signs it will help to determine the clinical picture of the disease. However, if it disturbs you not so long ago, and besides it, nothing bothers you anymore (there is no sore throat, temperature, etc.), mucus can be, for example, a harmless symptom of an allergy to a product. However, if the mucus accumulates in the throat, you should still visit the ENT doctor to prevent possible complications.
