Background to Inventions of Compressor Equipment

For today in the domestic market the compressor equipment is presented in a wide assortment. But, despite the fact that there is no shortage of proposals, we must carefully choose our choice. For this, knowledge of the history of compressors is necessarily useful.
A standard air compressor is an aggregate used everywhere (at home and at work). It consists of a housing in which working assemblies are located - a rotor or a piston, air cleaners, diverting and leading nozzles, etc. However, this was not always the case.
In fact, despite the fact that compressed air or liquid at the moment are quite popular sources of energy, the development of the science of compressed substances was very slow. In general, pneumatics developed along with revolutionary finds in other areas.
The very first advantages of compressed air were estimated by people who lived about five thousand years ago. It was then, in the era of the formation of metallurgy, there was a need to create conditions for obtaining temperatures over a thousand degrees.
This temperature was sufficient for melting gold, copper and other metals in the furnace, and it was provided by supplying compressed air under pressure to the center of the flame by means of special blow-pipes. Naturally, with the growing need for molten metal, the need for new equipment also grew.
Next were invented bellows. First hand, then foot, the bellows appeared in the Bronze Age, about 1500 years before our era. They were successfully used to produce bronze (by melting copper and tin).
Later on, catapults were invented, automatic door opening facilities, by using the energy of heated (expanded) air. These were not such revolutionary achievements, and in the history of them, few evidence remained. However, all inventions based on compressed air have always been a great success in everyday life and construction.
The next crucial moment in the study of pneumatics was the discovery of Pascal's law. In the 17th century, during numerous experiments, B. Pascal noticed an obvious relationship between the increase in energy through the operation of the hydrosystems designed by him.
In the same century, the basis for pneumatic conveying was laid. But the first pneumatic mail appeared only a hundred and fifty years later. In the 19th century, on the basis of compressed air, trains were already in motion, and a braking system was also designed.
In the middle of the same century, the first pneumatic hammer appeared, which gained popularity in the mining and construction industries. At the end of the 19th century, the first pneumatic network appeared in Paris. A centralized compressor (with a capacity of one and a half thousand kilowatts) was installed in the sewer system under the city.
This network is still functioning and is considered a proof of the genius of human thought. Well, the first screw compressor appeared in 30 years of the last century. However, the mass production of such equipment was started only in the postwar period.
At the moment, air compressors are used everywhere and are not going to give up their positions. Every year pneumatic installations are being improved to meet the demands of the construction, metallurgical and other industries.
New compressors, for example - screw compressor, are high-tech, economical and operate with high efficiency, providing all the production needs in compressed air. Their benefits are obvious, so in the future you can expect new inventions in this industry!
