Aversectin ointment

Aversectin ointment is a veterinary drug that helps to get rid of mites. Aversectin (0.05%) is the main active substance of this pharmaceutical product. This element has a harmful effect on the state of the motor and nervous systems of pests such as fleas, mites, withers, lice, resulting in paralysis. This remedy is absolutely safe for a pet, however, an aversectin ointment for a man does not bring the desired effect. The agent is active against larval as well as mature periods of development of demodectic and sarcoptoid ticks.

In what cases is the drug used?

It helps to cope with such parasitic diseases of fur-bearing animals, birds, rabbits, cats and dogs, like:

- Notoedroz, demodecosis, sarcoptic disease (acarose);

- kenotsefalez, trihodkoz, felikolez (entomozy).

The instruction for the averseectin ointment gives clear instructions on how to prepare the animal for application of the drug, for the therapy and evaluation of its results. It is noted that before applying this remedy, it is necessary to release affected areas of the pet's skin by cutting the wool in these areas. It is also important to carefully remove all crusts and scabs, as far as possible. The person applying the ointment should wear rubber gloves. The necessary adaptations during the procedure - a tampon or spatula.

The aversectin ointment can be pre-heated. This is done in the following way: the clogged container with the drug is lowered into hot water. It is important to carefully rub the product into the affected areas, it is recommended to distribute the ointment with a thin layer from the peripheral area to the center.

The standard treatment regimen is this: the drug is applied every five to seven days, after the end of the therapeutic course (usually two applications), a control analysis of deep scrapings of the skin of the affected areas is performed. In the event that pathogens are found in this material, the therapy is repeated.

Aversectin ointment for parrots is applied to problem areas (beak, paws, the area around the cloaca or eyes, and also the wax) with a cotton swab. If the disease has passed to the neglected stage, treatment can be carried out not twice with interruptions of 5-7 days, and more - 3-4 procedures.

If one ear of an animal is affected by mites, it is important to treat both an auditory passages of your pet with this medication. Water procedures during the period of therapy are not forbidden.

Applying the drug is recommended in the evening, when the pet is less active. Best of all, if two people are involved in the process, one of them is holding a pet and the other is treating the affected areas.

Aversectin ointment is contraindicated in the following situations:

- with individual intolerance to the components of the drug;

- during lactation and gestation by females;

- before the cubs reach the age of two months.

Among the side effects are the following: vomiting, allergic reactions, irritation of the skin.

Aversectin ointment is available in cans of fifteen and thirty grams. The optimum storage temperature of the preparation is twenty degrees Celsius. It is important not to move the medicine into a different container and do not let direct sunlight hit it.

Undoubted advantages of the described drug include its relatively low cost (from 34 to 40 rubles), rare cases of recurrence of the disease, a rare manifestation of allergic reactions, provided the correct use of the drug, no need for frequent therapeutic procedures.
