Andrey Fajt - the Soviet actor of theater and cinema: the biography, the best actor's works

Andrei Andreevich Veit is a theater actor, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, a people's "villain" of Soviet cinema. On his account, many popular films, including "The Kingdom of Curved Mirrors", "The Diamond Arm", "The Tale of how Tsar Peter therap wore". He is an incredible workaholic - Andrei Andreyevich worked almost until the last day of his life. He also has an invoice, a great talent and a very difficult biography.

Faith Family History

Andrey Fajt was born in the beginning of the last century - in August 1903 - in Nizhny Novgorod. His ancestors were Germans of merchantry who immigrated to Russia in 1812. There is an opinion that they fled at the beginning of the 19th century from the Napoleonic War.

Initially, Andrei Andreevich bore the surname of Faith, because in this way German names and names are transformed into Russian speech. However, after a time when the future actor was carried away by art, he replaced the vowel in the surname and became Andrei Fayt.

Andrei Feith's father, Andrey Y. Faith, was a doctor. He actively participated in the political life of Russia, as a result of which he was repeatedly arrested. Several times he was exiled to Eastern Siberia. Veit-senior was the founder of the organization "Group of People's Will", he worked in the Committee for Assistance to Exiles and Prisoners on Political Issues.

Andrei Fayt's mother, Anna Nikolayevna, was also persecuted by the authorities, because she was a faithful assistant to her husband. In the family, in addition to Andrew, there was another boy, the brother of the future actor.

Childhood and youth

In 1905 Andrei Andreyevich's father was in the next exile. His patients helped the man to organize an escape abroad - to France. Wife and children followed the head of the family. At first the Veit family settled in a Russian colony near Paris, a small Andryusha went there to the Lyceum. For a time they lived in France, but after the First World War they returned to Russia.

At the age of 15, Veit seriously realized that he was attracted to the world of the sublime. He began to visit the Chamber of Art of the Free Art with a very extravagant title "Ke-Ke-Si". Andrei liked these studies. There he talked with young people who comprehended the basics of painting and theatrical skill, were engaged in music, were fond of poetry. The young man himself made his first attempts to compose poetry, even issued a small collection with the title "Cascades of Passion", which in a small number of copies in dozens sold at the school evening. The Ke-Ke-Si circle periodically organized creative meetings, which invited experienced artists to exchange experiences with young people. By the way, Sergei Yesenin attended one of such meetings.

Student of GIK

After growing up, Andrey Fait entered the Institute of Engineers of the Red Air Fleet. But for the sake of justice, it must be said that young Andrey Andreyevich did not like studying, and his patience was enough for exactly two courses. Since 1922 Andrei A. Veit began to attend the private studio of Preobrazhenskaya, in parallel with his studies he passed exams at the State Institute of Cinematography (GIK).

The institute has a rather interesting history. At that time the university was located in a normal apartment and was in a privileged position. A potential student had the right to come to the exam in the middle of the academic year, and in case of successful passing all the tests could easily be enrolled in the course. Exactly such a story happened to Andrei Fayt.

The future theater and cinema actor turned out to be lucky - he got on the course to Lev Kuleshov, who is rightfully considered the founder of Russian cinema to this day. In addition, here in the GIK, Andrei Andreevich met his future wife - actress Galina Kravchenko. True, their family life lasted only a few years. Later, the young people broke up.

Kravchefight

Learning from Lev Kuleshov was very exciting. In the studio of the maestro, students developed in many spheres - they were engaged in sports, acting, working on the plot of gaming etudes. The teaching principle of Kuleshov was very curious - the students were divided into groups, each of which consisted of several actors, a director and an operator. In the team with Andrei Faytom were future directors Yuri Leontiev and actors Eugene Chervyakov and Galina Kravchenko. The guys became so friends that their "gang" surrounding people began to be called "Kravcherfayt". It was with them that the tradition of GIK's "skits" began.

Andrey Feith's debut in the movie was marked by a role in the film "Pigeon's Mansion", which was filmed at the Mezhrabpom-Rus film studio by film director Vladimir Gardin in 1924. I must say that the novice actor coped very well with the first task, so soon received another proposal for filming from the same Vladimir Hardin, but already in the main role in the film "Golden Stock". The cinema of those years was completely different from the one that his modern philistine knows and represents. Pictures of the 1920s were filmed without rehearsals, the actors worked in their own costumes. The only exception was shooting in historical paintings (which is natural). For all, it was absolutely normal and habitual situation, when actors took shoes and clothes from each other.

In 1927, Andrei Fait graduated from the State Institute of Cinematography.

War time

Andrey Andreevich Veit was a very popular artist. Before the war, he managed to star in many films, among them - "Marsh soldiers", "By the Pike's Wish", "High award", "Minin and Pozharsky", "Salavat Yulaev" and others. In addition to filming, Andrei Andreevich served in the theater, and it was the Theater-Studio of the film actor.

In 1941, the Great Patriotic War began, and Andrei Feith was evacuated with the studio "Soyuzdetfilm" in Stalinabad. The actor was not easily evacuated, he had to endure much and endure during these terrible years of the war. However, without wasting time, Andrey Veit continued to develop in his profession. Films in which the actor was engaged, just told about the war time.

Andrei Andreevich worked in the heroic drama "The Iron Angel", which was shot based on the story of Nikolai Bogdanov; Played Major Pfuel in the battle cassette "Forest Brothers" and "Bati's Death" by film director Schneider. The actor worked on the role of Uncle Stepan in the film about the children-partisans "Kartashov's teacher" Lev Kuleshov. At the same time, he took part in the filming of the biographical film "Lermontov", telling about the life of the great poet.

In the postwar period, Andrei Andreevich played the fascist Schrenk in the drama Grigory Alexandrov "Meeting on the Elbe". By the way, the debut negative role of Lubov Orlova took place in this film - she was an American intelligence officer.

Children's cinema

A special place in the work of Andrei Feith is played by the roles he played in films designed for a teenage audience. Of course, this unforgettable role of the Chief Minister of the Kingdom of Nushrok in the film-tale of Alexander Rowe "The Kingdom of Curved Mirrors" is a beautifully created image, the purest actor's work.

By the way, Andrey Andreevich Veit was a man of tremendous organization, dedication and hardening. When the fairy tale was being shot, the actor was at the age of sixty, but this did not prevent him from performing all the tricks himself planned according to his role (for example, riding a horse). The theater and movie actor Veit was in great physical shape.

A very characteristic feature of Andrei Andreyevich on the set was the ability to bring something new, individual, into the character of the hero, on which the actor's work was conducted. He could argue with the director about the ideas expressed and defend his opinion. So it was, for example, and on the set of the film "The Magic Lamp of Aladdin". After much debate and discussion, the image of an evil sorcerer named Maghribinets combined the character traits that the director Boris Ritsarev and the artist Veit Andrey offered.

Actor and Man

The appearance of actor Andrei Feith can be described by selecting intricate epithets. However, it is simpler and more correct to reduce the descriptions to one capacious word - "texture." This person could depict any emotion without saying a word, the expression on his face spoke for him.

Andrei Andreevich was a brilliant actor, watching of which was a great pleasure. In his life there were many roles - more than eighty. He began his career while still a student of the GIK, and continued to work almost until the last days of his life.

In the list of his works - not all the roles of the first plan, but this is not the main thing. Masterfully played by Faythom episodes tightly fell into the spectator's soul pohlesche any main role of another artist. Among such episodes one can single out the work in the films "The Diamond Arm", "The Idiot", "The Crown of the Russian Empire, or Again the Elusive", "The Tale of how Tsar Peter therap married".

In his life, Andrei Faytu was often credited with novels with actresses of Soviet cinema. And the actor was married to Maria Briling, who had nothing to do with cinema. In the marriage they had a son - Julius Veit, who later followed in the footsteps of his star father and connected his life with the cinema. Julius Veit graduated from VGIK and became a director. His colleagues in the shop and friends - Andrei Tarkovsky, Alexander Mitta, Vasily Shukshin.

Fait Andrey Andreevich died on January 17, 1976. He is buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.
