Cinema about space

Cinematographers - like gold prospectors and oil producers, they are always in search of new, untouched land, in order to expand their activities there. Cinematographers, before scientists, began to comprehend the secrets of outer space - since 1902, when Georges Méliès filmed his first film about space. Although it used theatrical scenery, the film still gave reason to think that in the near future a person will be able to freely travel to the moon.

Cinema about space really gained popularity only in 1968, when the famous director Stanley Kubrick released the already classic of the genre film "2001: Space Odyssey." Then it became clear that the topic of space should be developed as much as possible. This is what George Lucas was doing, working on his famous saga of star wars. Since that time and before the first serious research expeditions to the Moon and to other celestial bodies were made, any cinema about space has always been ranked as a fantasy genre. Man still could not say exactly which laws possess the star space.

The series about space began to be removed from the end of the sixties. The most popular of them is the "Star Trek". Now he has already acquired the status of a cult spectacle, which for today there are a few more remakes. This series is very popular with the public around the world. At one time he aroused the interest of viewers in the adventure of the screen, connected with the cosmos.

With the development of new technologies that allow creating new worlds and exploring new spaces, the cinema about space has become even more popular. Technologies dictate the future. A huge number of colorful special effects ennoble this genre, making the movie about space more desirable and exciting for the modern generation of moviegoers.

Very soon on the screens of cinemas will appear such a strong work as "Gravitation" Alfonso Cuaron, who is known for staging the third part of the cult saga of Harry Potter. Following him comes a new film by Christopher Nolan - "Intersteller", in which he will touch upon the theories of outstanding physicists and scientists dealing with both the structure of the cosmos and the universe. This year, the sequel to the famous "Star Trek" series, in which the villain was played by one of the strongest contemporary young actors - Benedikt Cumberbatch. He started his famous career by playing Stephen Hawking - a famous physicist and author of the theory of the origin of the universe. In the same year, fans of films on the space theme will see the appearance of a documentary by Stephen Hawking on the theme of the Galaxy and the Universe. In this film, Hawking talks about how our universe really began, what is the meaning of human existence on Earth, where our world aspires to its daily development.

Proceeding from the foregoing, I would like to note that the cinema about space is perhaps the only genre that is still in development today.
