Alexey Tolstoy - the author of Buratino

A fairy tale is the only form of knowledge of the world, initially accessible to the child. The author of Buratino, Alexei Tolstoy, contributed to the Russian children's literature. In addition, he himself wrote books for small children, he processed many folklore legends and magical stories, adapting them for children's reading.

The author of Buratino himself admitted that by processing folklore, he selected the most interesting stories containing truly Russian folk language turns and amazing story details that parents could read to children in the process of mastering their native language and national culture.

His instructive tale of a wooden puppet, the Italian Lorenzini, the author of Pinocchio, published in 1883 under the pseudonym Carlo Collodi. Tolstoy read the translation of this tale in a Berlin magazine in 1923, shortly before returning from exile, and decided to retell it for Russian children. At first the idea consisted only of literary processing, but it turned out very dry and edifying. Therefore, with the support of Marshak, the author of Pinocchio continued to write it in his own way. In 1936 a fairy tale was printed first in a children's newspaper, and then in a separate edition.

At Collodi turned out a terribly naughty puppet, which was made for its troubles by an organ-grinder from a magic piece of wood. It was called Pinocchio, in translation "cedar nut". Oh, and set this stout nut to the heat of his father Gepetto! He did not want to work or study, lied all the time, wandered, stole and was not treated. Although the magic cricket predicted to him for this prison or hospital. When the fairy tale was written, the European pedagogical theory ordered severely to punish the child for sins. Therefore, the hero is put on a chain, hanged, burned and even deprived of freedom.

But the soul of Pinocchio was kind: he loved Papet Gepetto and fairy with azure hair, was generous and could repent. Along with the didactic rigor, in the Italian fairy tale there are many original fantastic images. For example, plotting a plot connected with a wonderful log, the Magic field in the vicinity of the city of Durakolovka, where a wooden shalopay buried his five gold coins, turning idle children into donkeys, and finally, the notorious wooden nose growing from lying.

Russian author of the tale of Buratino for idleness does not punish, cricket, instead of prison and hospital, predicts dangers and adventures. But can a boy be frightened by such a future? In the closet Carlo (mocker Tolstoy gave the organ-grinder the name of the author of the original story), the magic door is hidden, and the main character learns the secret of the golden key from her.

Decoupling of fairy tales is also different. Pinocchio, having gone through adventures and punishments, repents and corrects, for which he receives a reward - the fulfillment of a dream. He becomes a living boy, not a doll. Tolstoy, as a Soviet author, Buratino makes the leader of the oppressed dolls. He takes them away from Karabas Barabas, a ruthless exploiter, to a new magical theater, the image of a brighter future, opened behind a secret door.

Buratino the author does not give a dream. He is a rebel and leader, a merry fellow and fidget. The magic golden key gets by chance, like all the heroes of Russian fairy tales - Ivanushki and Emely. But according to the dictum of Soviet ideology, he uses it for a common, not personal benefit.

Modern parents read different books to their growing children, watch cartoons with them. Little Russians know the fairy tale about the golden collar, and Pinocchio, but they like and still regard Pinocchio as their hero for some reason.
