Cleaning of moonshine with milk

Almost everyone knows that moonshine in addition to water and ethyl alcohol contains various impurities that are harmful, so they need to be removed. It must be said that each type of impurity is purified in various ways. Most often, charcoal and milk are used for this purpose. If you correctly apply these methods, you can get a drink, as they say, crystal clear.

Cleaning of moonshine with milk is applied to the brew before distillation or to ready-made alcohol. It occurs due to the attachment of fusel oil to the milk particles, which then fall into a sediment, so the beverage is later filtered.

So, for five liters of mash, you need to take one liter of milk and slowly start to expel. Perhaps, during the first distillation a cloudy sediment will be observed. In this case, the drink is distilled a second time.

Cleaning of moonshine milk is possible and in another way: one liter of ready-made alcoholic beverage is added one hundred or two hundred grams of milk and, after it is curtailed, the moonshine is filtered (filtered). Thus, you can get rid of fusel oils and get a fairly clean product.

It should be noted that after the cleaning of moonshine has passed, it is recommended to carry out additional cleaning with bread. Thanks to this drink will get a pleasant scent.

Very good for this case is charcoal, which absorbs all impurities and extraneous unpleasant odor. It can be purchased at any store.

Cleaning of the moonshine begins with the fact that the latter is pounded in a bowl, into which then vodka is added with the calculation of fifty grams of coal per liter of beverage. This all should be insisted for one week, only it is necessary to shake up occasionally. Then the mixture is again settled until the coal sediment begins to fall out and the liquid begins to lighten. The precipitate is drained off with a siphon tube, and the alcohol is filtered.

In the same way, you can use activated charcoal, which is sold in any pharmacy, or coal birch.

Let's consider, how cleaning of moonshine from fusel oils with the help of birch coal takes place.

Six hundred grams of birch charcoal grind, blow off dust and put in seven hundred and fifty grams of vodka. The bottle is clogged and left to insist for three weeks, every day four times shaking. After a while, the shaking is stopped and the alcohol is left for another week. Next, four hundred grams of pure large raisins, thirty-five grams of crushed violet root, are laid in a large bottle and all are filled with filtered moonshine.

Or use another method: in the distiller place six handfuls of birch charcoal, two handfuls of salt and distill the first time, and then the second, but without additives.

It should be noted that charcoal can be made independently. For this, the tree is harvested in advance, the core and knots are cut out from it. It must be remembered that different types of coal have different absorptive capacities. The highest - in beech, birch, then comes pine, and the smallest - for alder and poplar.

Coal is prepared as follows: kindle a fire and allow it to burn to wood, coals are collected in a bowl, blow ash from them and cover them so they go out. When they cool, they are crushed and well sieved.

Considering the old recipes for cleaning, you can see that coals and milk were widely used at all times. So, even our grandmothers, when it was necessary to clean the moonshine with milk, took six liters of the ready-made drink one liter of fresh (steam) milk and so distilled, so that not a single particle of the epaulet remained.

Thus, to clean moonshine in the home is not much work, most importantly - to know how to do it correctly.
