Air conditioning: history and modernity

The term "air conditioning" was patented in the early 19 th century by a certain Jean de Chabanes, who first described the method of changing and stabilizing the temperature of the environment in the interior. The technological base of that time was not sufficiently developed for the mass production of such devices. The first systems that make it possible to implement the principles stated in the patent appeared in the beginning of the 20th century, and household air conditioners - in the middle of the century.

As the technology developed, air conditioning became not one parameter - temperature, but also in terms of humidity, gas and even ionic composition. Modern automated control systems allow you to keep the characteristics within strictly specified limits. The cost of such devices has been steadily declining, and as a result they have become available to many families with incomes at an average level.

Centralized or industrial systems

Air conditioning was widely used in public and industrial buildings, as well as in special purpose buildings. The first air-conditioners had impressive dimensions and consumed so much energy that their use in everyday life was almost impossible. Such systems are centralized and feature high power, performance and building principles.

Another name for such complexes is industrial air-conditioners, a separate room is required for their placement. The main equipment is located here, and the principle of operation is as follows: air is taken from the outside, its processing (heating or cooling, humidification or dehumidification and saturation to a certain composition) is carried out, then it is fed through a large section of pipelines into the hall.

Central or industrial ventilation and air conditioning systems provide reliable control of the parameters of the internal atmosphere over a wide range over large areas. For example, in rooms where artificial rollers are located, you can maintain a comfortable mode for visitors. Absolutely other characteristics are needed for swimming pools.

Household air conditioners

The household air-conditioning system is designed to operate at home and maintain the required temperature and humidity conditions in living quarters. There are two types of such climate devices: monoblock and separate. The first conditioners required when installing a fairly large hole, which created inconvenience for installation and operation.

Modern household air conditioners are mainly split-systems. In such devices, the evaporator and the condenser are separated, they are installed, respectively, indoors and outdoors. Between these blocks are pipelines for refrigerant and wires for supplying power to the fan and controlling its switching on and off. Modern air conditioners can also work on heating the air in the room.

Air conditioning is necessary to ensure comfortable living and working conditions for people not only in the premises, but also in vehicles. More and more cars, train cars, etc. Equipped with climate control systems. Especially they are necessary in areas with a hot climate.
