A decent primary education is the key to future success

There is hardly a need to once again address the question that it is primary education, forming general educational skills and fixing skills, predetermines the success of the child in all subsequent education.

1. The concept of primary education

Primary education is the first and most important step in education. Later there will be an average and a higher school, someone can continue studying in a technical school or university, but it is from this stage that much depends. Why? It is in this life period that the kids get their first knowledge of the world around them, learn to communicate with their peers and adults, and solve various applied problems. At the same stage, the personality and character of the child begins to form and develop.

School education in Russia is compulsory and generally available. Reaching the age of 6.5 years, in the absence of medical contraindications, children sit down at school desks. It is also important to note that in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation, primary education for a child should begin not later than reaching the age of eight.

At the initial stage of training the following subjects are considered compulsory:

  • art;
  • foreign language;
  • mathematics;
  • music;
  • the world;
  • Russian language;
  • technology;
  • Physical Culture;
  • reading.

Of course, such a school curriculum can be implemented only if the necessary conditions are met. Discounts on certain subjects can be made. For example, from the second class, in accordance with the federal program, the child must begin to learn a foreign language, and from the third - to master computer knowledge. However, this is done only if the school employs a proper number of foreign language teachers and a technically equipped computer class is available.

By the way, reading and Russian language are presented in two software versions: for schools with Russian and non-Russian languages of instruction.

2. Primary education: objectives pursued

  • Encouraging the desire to acquire new knowledge;
  • Acquisition of experience necessary for the implementation of a wide variety of activities;
  • The development of both moral and aesthetic feelings;
  • Preservation and promotion of the individuality of the child;
  • The development of a positive attitude both to themselves and to the world around them;
  • Stimulating interest in learning;
  • Strengthening the health of children (physical and mental);
  • The formation not only of the child's personality, but also of his creative abilities.

3. Initial education: principles of organization

During the school year in elementary school, all subjects are usually conducted by the same teacher. The only exceptions are such specific lessons as fine arts, physical education, music (or chorus) and a foreign language.

In the first grade, only positive grades ("good" and "excellent", respectively, "4" and "5") are allowed for children. In addition, nowadays the so-called comic prints of three colors are used quite often: blue, green and red. They "reward" students for diligence and satisfactory work.

But since the second class, the child receives all the assessments, including including the estimates for a quarter and a year. It becomes necessary to have a diary, and at the end of the academic year, each distinguished person receives a certificate of commendation or thank you letters.

After completing primary school, the student must be able to consciously observe the surrounding objects, describe them and characterize them. In addition, there should not be any difficulty in comparing several objects or objects, revealing a whole series of similarities and differences, and also by unification on a general basis, the difference between a part and a whole.

A diligent pupil can also handle the simplest measuring instruments, and the data obtained during the measurement can then be used to construct the necessary relationships and solve problems.

In addition, the student, as a rule, is able to solve creative tasks, draw up a plan of action, improvise and play a role in an imaginary situation.

In principle, we can safely say that the subsequent higher or secondary vocational education begins to form already at this stage.
