Zhirinovsky, elections and ancient food

On TV showed the pre-election clip of V.Zhirinovsky, which he begins with the phrase that a person should eat several times a day. At first glance these are perfectly normal words. But me, a specialist in the history of human nutrition, this phrase from the mouth of a politician who is considered an erudite, jarred and forced to take up the pen. Firstly, the reusable, that is, civilized food in itself is very young and has spread in Europe and Russia quite recently, after a continuous electrification of 60-120 years ago, and before that, for 2.5 million, all mankind simply did not have a technical And another possibility to consume food more than one and a half times a day. Today, few know that the whole ancient world has been fed only once a day for thousands of years, and this food has received the name of the ancient. Known, for example, the order of the Roman legionaries, who rose up in the morning, collected the camp, then marched their 20 km, then again broke and strengthened the camp and only after that they prepared the first hot food in the evening. Of course, maybe they had some snacks during the day, but, given the huge energy costs of these people - it is immaterial. This, that is, approximately one-time meals in the ancient world was common everywhere. It was a normal practice of the poor and noble. So ate Hippocrates and Caesar, Hercules and Herostratus and absolutely all the people of those millennia. If in ancient times disposable food was used by all sections of the population, then in the Middle Ages it was preserved only in a peasant environment and with peasants reached the middle of the 20th century. Indeed, even 100 years ago, our peasant great-grandfathers actually fed under the ancient law. Early in the morning they drank only a bucket of kvass and went out into the field for great physical exertion. At 12 o'clock they had a light snack, insignificantly small compared to modern full-fledged dinners, and only in the evening they received the first hot food from the oven. They did not have any breakfast, a full dinner, they had no snack, because they stoked the stove only in the evening. For millions of years, humanity from primitive hunters to peasants of the 20th century had eaten approximately one scheme, that is, about once a day, and this scheme, as a fact, became our biological norm, the same as, for example, a dream of 7-8 hours. That is why, when in the 20th century Europeans triumphantly switched to full-fledged three meals a day, then scientists came across skeptics who warned that this was a potentially dangerous experiment on human nature, since the human body in its 3 million history By and large, I have never done this before. The population, they warned, will eat food every 5 times more than a century old, start to get fat, sick, need doctors, pills, etc. As a result, supposedly, European nations will be weakened and will dissolve them evolutionarily among other religions and peoples. Of course, this is a very controversial opinion, but looking at the current demographic situation in Europe and the massive obesity of the population in the United States, one can not help thinking that there is something in this.
In addition, when in the 20 century the Soviet Union also switched to three meals a day, many small nations of Siberia and the North began to disappear in an incomprehensible way from the epidemic of harmful habits and diseases, and the frightened authorities returned them traditional food, the main meaning of which is precisely one-time Of this food. That is, these people today again do not just eat their age-old monotonous food, and eat it not more often than one and a half times a day, as humanity did until the 20th century. And, today these nations, whose numbers are growing, watching the extinction of Russians from the end of the 20th century, began persistently to offer them, too, they will return to the grandfathering traditions of one-time food, and then this extinction will turn into a boom of fertility. But, for now, there is no answer.
As it was not there, but today the diet of Russia is split into 2 parts. 80% of the population, including Russians, accepted unconditionally three meals a day, and 20% of the population, including the national outskirts, unconditionally preserves the age-old disposable food system, which is based on traditions and religion. Here you can remember the Muslims who, according to their posts, eat food for the whole 2 months a year and only in the evening, receiving, by the way, a huge health benefit. Proceeding from the above, and returning to the pre-election clip of V. Zhirinovsky, from the scientific and historical point of view, the first phrase would be more correct to say that a modern person who wants to consider himself civilized should eat several times a day. Here in this phrase everything is right, it does not cut the rumor.
A little about the history of three meals a day.
When in the 50-60 years in the USSR introduced three meals a day, the main opponents were the children of the recent peasants, that is, our today's fathers and mothers who flatly refused to take food so unusually often. They resisted from all their children's powers. But the system was stronger. An unprecedented practice of hourly forced feeding was introduced in peasant history, which is still in force. In those years, many families had heated discussions between parents and grandmothers who had come from the villages. Grandmothers were still educated on peasant traditions, and believed that the child in the diet himself knows his norm, and it is absolutely unacceptable and harmful to force him to eat against his will. They fiercely argued with young parents who believed and implemented new medical settings, according to which the child should be forced by force and persuasion to eat civilized norms. Those distant arguments were the last weak attempt to stop the wreck of the secular way, but, alas, useless. In addition, the system prepared a whole army of professional masters of coercion to overeat children in kindergartens, schools. As a result, the system won, the grandmothers-opponents of the "civilized" methods of nutrition left, and the peasant traditions of nutrition were forgotten. Today, those children, for whom when those "granddad" fought grew up "accustomed" to three meals a day, and now themselves masterfully forced to overeat their grandchildren and so on. In a word, the conveyor belt, the mass coercion of children to overeat continues to work. But, after all, the Russians are dying out, and according to the predictions of those legendary grandmothers they will die out until this conveyor stops.
