Its location is a 20-kilometer narrow sandy spit, bounded on one side by the Mediterranean Sea, and on the other by the Small Sea, called the Mar Menor lagoon. The water in the lagoon is salt and iodine in terms of healing characteristics, similar to the water of the Dead Sea.
