Home care

To ensure that the plant does not lose its unique coloring of the leaves, it needs to provide sufficient lighting, top dressing and watering. Hypoestheses require good lighting, but it should be slightly diffused. In winter it is additionally necessary to organize the illumination of the plant with a fluorescent lamp. With a lack of light, the leaves can lose their piquant color forever.

In the warm season, the plant needs abundant watering. The drying of the soil leads to the loss of leaves. Care and cultivation of it is carried out with obligatory daily spraying of leaves with distilled water.

Mineral fertilizers are introduced in spring and summer periodically after 3-4 weeks. In winter it can be done once a month. The method of propagation by cuttings is used less often, although it has some advantages. For example, planting of the appendage can be done immediately in a soil prepared for an adult plant. First, it is covered with a jar, which can be removed after a week. Before planting cuttings length of 8-10 cm should be separated from the adult flower and put them into the water. In this case, you can add a growth accelerator. Transplantation into a pot is made when small roots appear.

Problems in caring for a plant

Lack of lighting often leads to a complete loss of spotting. This is especially noticeable on the leaves of some varieties, in which they are covered with white or yellow strokes, as in the hypoesthesia mix.
