Why did the movie "Andalusian Dog" evoke aesthetic shock?
The surest example of surreal cinema - the film "Andalusian dog" - simply "explodes the brain" when viewed. It seems that this is a challenge not only to personal perception, but to all logic that strictly defines our human consciousness. Perhaps the ordinary spectator, the same as the author of this publication, because of the limited perception or generally accepted intellectual cliches that are formed in society, culture, can not appreciate all the author's message, intent. But the fact that it's worth watching this picture is unambiguous. Personally, my mind, bound by the limited scope of the existing insignificant life experience, constantly repeated during the viewing, rather screamed: "What kind of nonsense?". And the subconscious, eagerly listening to the hidden meaning, whispered: "Delightful!".
A film without a storyline
Revolutionary renewal of consciousness
In any case, every image that appears in the film causes a subconscious splash, and instead of the usual logic, they are interconnected by interconnection, where at any subsequent moment each element shown can be replaced by its analogue. Such a chain of substitutes: ants - blood, death - erotica. As a result, the "Andalusian dog", a unique experiment of young Spaniards, is still considered not only the most radical experience, but also one of the most utopian, clearly oriented to the renewal of consciousness, including the cinematic, of the film. And let it to the majority of spectators remains not clear, so it and should be: surrealism, in any way not differently.
