Why did General Morev shoot himself?

The death of any person is a tragedy for people close to him, relatives and friends. Especially hard it is experienced in the event that the deceased passed away not for natural reasons, such as old age, or because of a serious illness, from which, alas, no one is insured. Even an accident, no matter how ridiculous it may be, is perceived by others not as painful as suicide. Most of our fellow citizens consider such withdrawal from life as sinful, sharing the point of view of the church on this issue. And the resonance becomes much wider when this happens with a person known, occupying a prominent and responsible post. In August 2011, General Morev, the head of the FSB's main department for the Tver region, shot himself in his own private office. Sinister rumors immediately began to spread ...

early years

About what kind of person was a high-ranking counterintelligence officer, one can judge from his track record. General Morev worked in the KGB of the USSR from the beginning of the eighties. The personnel management of this very serious organization was checking the future employees. It is possible to treat differently the communist ideology and the Soviet-collective farm system; Today, pointing out mistakes and crimes of the party apparatus is not only not prohibited, but even considered a good form. But even the most active dissidents could not deny the high professional and moral qualities of the Chekists. They did not really take bribes, served honestly and were engaged mainly (at least in the late Soviet period) not following the narrators of political jokes. "Committeeers" opposed foreign intelligence, the same was engaged in the years of his youth (he was then 24 years old) and General Morev. His biography contains information about personal involvement in the detention of several foreign spies, and red-handed.

Education Chekist testifies to his high intellectual level, he successfully graduated from Krasnoyarsk University in aerospace.

Service in the FSB

General Morev Konstantin Anatolyevich after the collapse of the Soviet Union did not go into business, like many of his colleagues, but continued in the difficult first years of Russia's independence to engage in the same work that he had done before. His efforts were noticed, summoned to Moscow, and then sent to the Republic of Sakha, where local criminal groups organized the sale of drugs, speculated with diamond-bearing ore and sold arms. Apparently, General Morev successfully coped with the task. Then, from the cold and remote province, he was transferred to "warm lands." Headed in 2007, the FSB department for the Tver region, counterintelligence officers led by the Chekist of the old school year before the tragic death opened the case of the Nevsky Express. Then the terrorists blew up the train (killing 28 people). Sixteen participants in the crime were arrested and convicted, while eight others, while trying to resist, were destroyed on the spot. This impressive victory of the FSB was reflected in the award-winning sheets, including the name of KA Morev. During the service he became a Knight of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of two degrees and a sign of the Honorary Counterintelligence Officer.

Personal life

The news that General Morev shot himself, threw into the woeful amazement of all who knew him. The deceased was known as a man of courage, cheerful, sociable and bright. Not yet an old man (slightly over fifty), strong and healthy, occupying a considerable position, he enjoyed success with women. In the Soviet years, his personal life could be the subject of consideration of the party bureau - he was divorced three times and married four times. For such a desire for diversity Chekist could if not "cross" from the post, then certainly would have limited his career. The fact that his last wife was an employee of the apparatus of the governor of the region D. Zelenin added to the twig in the fire. This wedding somehow seemed to affect the success of the career of Maya (now Moreva): she became a deputy to the head of the administration. And then Zelenin was removed.

History indeed does, at first glance, compromise the FSB chief of the FSB, but it is unlikely that she would have sent the barrel of the pistol into the temple of General Morev (the cause of death is a gunshot wound incompatible with life). Even if the matter was in the doubtful career of his wife, then such a person would probably leave a note explaining his terrible deed, but he did not.

Hypothesis of Nikolaev

A possible version of the events that preceded the fatal shot was the result of a journalistic investigation conducted by blogger Savely Nikolayev. The true name or fictitious is unknown, as well as the reliability of the materials presented to them. Some of them are amenable to verification due to the openness of sources, others are probable by indirect signs, others are not confirmed by anything. However, due to the stubborn silence of the official media, it remains to consider Nikolaev's hypothesis as the only one, even believably explaining why General Morev committed suicide.

The Mysterious Lord Darsania

Almost two years before the tragic event, the office of the head of the regional FCS was visited by one of the company's managers with a non-speaking name "Price Inform". In fact, such a meeting would be unlikely because of the "difference in weight categories" - as they say, not the level. But General Morev accepted the firma, apparently, someone, as they say in Odessa, "asked for him." Moreover, the recommendation was so impressive that the guest's request was executed without unnecessary formalities, and it consisted in issuing a license for works related to the state secret. The usual passage of documentation takes a quarter of a block, and a piece of paper was required as soon as possible (business considerations). The solicitor Solomon Alexandrovich called, his name was Georgian - Darsania. Here the experienced Chekist should be alerted, not in a hurry, check everything as in the old KGB years, but the call from the Federal Agency for State Property Management was friendly, insistently demanding assistance, and it was somehow inconvenient to refuse, and to delay the time, too. In short, SA Darsania received a license.

Ukrainian Footprint

Here, in the best detective traditions, appears no less mysterious character named Piskurev. He did not need a license, he was quite satisfied with the fact that she was with Darsania, or rather with Price Information, with which his company Spetsotsenka had commercial connections. Nikolaev insists that the two businessmen, apart from business, also had some relations, previously called unnatural, and now considered quite normal. However, this has nothing to do with the case, as well as the question of why General Morev went to such a terrible act (why he shot himself), but the Ukrainian citizenship of Piskurev and Georgian Darsania are questions. The countries whose passports are carried in the pockets of the defendants have, in recent years, been unfriendly towards Russia. But that's not all. Actually, even having the drawings of secret Russian developments (it is a question of modern combat helicopters Ka-52, missiles "Igla", "Cornet" and other equipment), Ukrainian, and even more so Georgian industry would hardly have mastered their release. The value of such materials is for American "friends", for example, for the company "Lockheed", with which the "Speckotsenka" Piskurev cooperates ...

In conclusion

Whatever it was, the fact is that in 2011 General Morev committed suicide. Photo in the funeral frame and obituaries published newspapers, the deceased was buried with honor in Abakan (Krasnoyarsk Territory), friends and relatives mourned him. The circumstances of the tragedy are still kept secret, which shows that for the present the shroud of mystery from this story is early to be removed. The fate of citizens with dual citizenship who made their business in cooperation with the Russian defense complex is also unclear. Do you need to know about it to everyone, or is it enough that the FSB was involved in this issue? Probably, the employees of this service should be trusted - they know their work and in the majority carry it out on conscience.
