The combination of white, red and green is found on a wide variety of cloths and in each case hides a special meaning. Which countries use this symbolism and what do they invest in it?

Bulgaria

The modern cloth of this state differs traditional rectangular form with the parity of the parties equal to two to three. Three stripes cover the flag - white, green, red. The first is a symbol of freedom and peace, which is especially important for a country with such a long road to sovereignty. The second is the richness of nature, forests and mountains, the importance of agriculture. Finally, the third, red color symbolizes the courage of the patriots who died for independence. Colors are arranged in the same order in which they are listed.

In 1861, a version similar to the modern one began to be used, but the colors went differently - the upper one was green, then white, and then red. This tricolor became a symbol of the Bulgarian Revolutionary Committee, and in April 1879 it was officially approved. In 1947, the arrangement of flowers was changed to modern, and the shade of green instead of warm grass was replaced by a cold emerald.

Iraq

Answering the question, whose flag is green, white, red, you can mention this eastern country. The cloth of the Republic of Iraq was officially approved in January 2008. It is a traditional tricolor - a horizontal flag. Green, white, red and black are placed on a rectangle with a three-to-two aspect ratio. The shades refer to the first version of the canvas, adopted in 1920. Then the tricolor was black-and-white-green. There was an isosceles triangle at the shaft.

Now the upper band is red, the middle one is white, and the lower one is black, on the central line there is a green inscription with Arabic script, informing that "God is great." The appearance of such a version was the result of several military coups and the coming to power of Saddam Hussein. However, after its overthrow, the parliament introduced some changes to the cloth, creating a modern kind of symbol used in all government institutions of the country.

This combination was also present in the Milanese symbolism. The red cross on a white background served as the coat of arms, and the green cross was used for the form of the local guard. In the modern flag, each color has a separate meaning. Green is connected with hope, white is with faith, and red symbolizes love. However, the official interpretation of this can not be called, but the Italians have no other. The Islamic revolution of 1978 led to the replacement of the animal with the inscription "Allah" with four crescents and a sword. The stylized phrase "God is great", woven twenty-two times, is inscribed in the edges of the green and red stripes. The number is related to the date of the revolution on the Iranian calendar.
