What is vegeto-vascular dystonia and how to fight it

Every person has faced such unpleasant symptoms as headache, tremors in the lower and upper extremities, numbness, rapid heart rate, fainting. All of them may indicate the presence of such a pathology as vegetovascular dystonia or dysfunction of the visceral (vegetative) nervous system.

Modern medicine in most cases does not consider this pathology as an independent disease, because it always appears against the background of some existing problem of the body. It is believed that the main cause of dystonia is a violation of the tone of the vessels, through which the blood circulates from the heart to all organs and tissues and back. This syndrome can occur in people of any age, most often it affects teenagers and people engaged in the duty of active brain activity.

The reason for the development of vegetovascular dystonia in the youngest can be an inadequate supply of oxygen to the main tissues and organs of the fetus in the period of its intrauterine development, a trauma of the skull obtained at birth, frequent infectious diseases in the first months of life. All these factors have a direct negative effect on the state of the autonomic nervous system, the formation of which continues even after birth. Vegetosovascular dystonia in children up to one year is manifested by a violation of sleep, increased excitability, capriciousness, a violation of the digestive system. Therefore, such symptoms as upset of the stool, constant regurgitation, bloating, may also be one of its main manifestations.

As already mentioned, the most common signs of the pathological state of the body, expressed in the dysfunction of the visceral nervous system, are observed in adolescents. This is directly related to their sexual maturation. During this period of life, all body systems develop particularly quickly and often outstrip the formation of neuroendocrine regulation, while the hormonal changes that occur in it can not go unnoticed either.

Vegetosovascular dystonia in adolescents has the following manifestations: headaches, heart rhythm disturbance, memory loss, decreased concentration, excessive fatigue, fatigue, dizziness, fainting.

In fact, this syndrome is often masked for various diseases of the body and can have a lot of manifestations: from the appearance of insomnia to fever and the occurrence of attacks of panic attack. The greatest danger it presents to people who have long since emerged from the age of puberty, since in this case it is most often a manifestation of a certain disease of the heart and blood vessels, the spine, pathologies of the digestive system. In women, the appearance of unpleasant symptoms can be associated with the onset of menopause or the development of pregnancy.

Vegetosovascular dystonia is a rather mysterious syndrome, studied by many specialists in the world. The appearance of its signs at any age should be cause for concern, as some of them pose a danger to human health (arterial hypertension, arrhythmia, lowering of blood sugar). Diagnosis and treatment of dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system is usually, as a rule, a neurologist. If necessary, most patients require examination from a cardiologist and endocrinologist. Treatment is appointed depending on which signs of pathology are most pronounced in a particular patient. Not bad results gives reception of sedative agents, psychostimulants of a phytogenesis, physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage.

It should be remembered that vegeto-vascular dystonia is Not a separate independent disease, but a whole complex of symptoms that arises as a response of the autonomic nervous system to the presence of any malfunctions in the human body. Therefore, when diagnosing it, you may need not only therapy aimed at eliminating unpleasant symptoms, but also the complex treatment of certain chronic diseases.
