How to put a person to sleep?

How to put a person to sleep? The question, at first glance, is rather strange. It would seem, for what it might be needed. In fact, this skill can be useful not only in medicine, but also in everyday life. Let's look at more details than you can put a person to sleep.

A bit of history

The healers of ancient times mastered medicine with timid steps. They tried to come up with a way to put a person to sleep painlessly and even for a short period of time. After all, complicated surgical operations, including limb amputation, were already performed at that time. For many centuries new versions were born.

In Syria and Egypt, for example, a person was put to sleep, squeezing the vessels of his neck. Most often this method was used during circumcision operations. Of course, there were many frankly barbarous methods. Suppose a modern person may think that to carry out sleep by bleeding, resulting in anemia of the brain, is simply unacceptable.

And, finally, they invented anesthesia. If you do not know who deserves such a credit, you might think that someone from a cohort of surgeons did it. After all, they were most often concerned with the answer to the question of how to put a person to sleep, because of the nature of the activity. However, dentist was the first to use anesthesia. His name was Thomas Morton. He needed patients, but most panicked about the pain that usually comes from such treatment. Therefore, often their teeth were old and destroyed, which only complicated the situation. Thomas used diethyl ether and first experimented with animals. The next stage was the removal of teeth to fellow dentists. And after that, Thomas constructed an apparatus for anesthesia, of course, very primitive. The first public operation he conducted in 1846. Everyone who was present was amazed.

To the delight of all in 1942, a balanced multi-component endotracheal anesthesia appeared.

Cases non-medical

In the home, too, this skill may be needed. Than to put a person to sleep if he is drunk? After all, many in this state become violent and even inadequate. Do not even need any medication. In the Ancient East, there was an opinion that on the human body, you can find points, when you click on which, it just falls without feeling. There are several of them, for example, on the shoulders (slightly closer to the neck) or the carotid artery (almost everyone knows where it is located). Be cautious, every person is certainly individual, so the effect can be obtained unequally.

We all saw in the movie how to lull a person with chloroform. A little liquid needs to be poured on a handkerchief, and then to press it to the face of another.

If you do not go the difficult path, it is easier to buy sleeping pills in the pharmacy. Now there is a mass of means that produce the described effect. When using sleeping pills, extreme care must be taken. There are drugs that, when taken, even the slightest deviation from the dosage indicated in the annotation is unacceptable. Earlier in our country were very common cases when people were lulled by clonidine with the purpose of robberies. This tool is often mixed in alcoholic beverages. But such a mixture has a very negative effect on the human body. Therefore, never use clonidine if you are intoxicated.

Understand that it is not easy to put a person to sleep. Even for a period of several hours. What can we say about a long and full immersion in sleep. With the help of hands and pressing on certain points on the body, this is almost impossible to do. There are now and various drugs, and techniques of hypnosis. But it is difficult to call such methods reliable. Unequivocally, unfortunately, we can say only one thing: there is no absolutely painless method of instantaneous euthanasia at the moment.
