Dubrovskoe Reservoir: description, fishing, rest

Dubrovskoe reservoir is located 30 kilometers from Minsk towards Vitebsk. This is a medium-sized pond with an area of just over three square kilometers. The deepest part of the reservoir reaches 14 meters. The water in it is clean, which attracts vacationers to these places. A little far from the coastline grew a thick deciduous forest. And in some places it reaches the water. This nature allows you to enjoy not only clean air, but also to escape from the summer heat. Near the reservoir, even at the highest temperatures, vacationers feel comfortable enough. The only thing that can be a little distressing pastime is the mosquitoes. However, this problem is solved quite quickly. Before going to the reservoir, you must stock up with special ointments and sprays in advance.

Briefly about the reservoir

Since its inception in 1984, the Dubrovo Reservoir (see photo in the article) has become an extremely popular destination for fishermen from the surrounding cities. For many years of the existence of the reservoir, practically nothing has changed. Only the beach was leased by a private company, and part of the reservoir is reserved for breeding fish and commercial fishing.

Fishing in this reservoir is conditionally paid. That is, they charge money only if they go through a barrier. There, fishermen will find equipped gazebos, special bridges and several braziers. But there is one more way. On the other side of the pond there are no barriers and checkpoints. There, of course, can also ask to pay for fishing, but this happens very rarely.

In the middle of the water is Dubrovsky oak. Local fishermen believe it to be their landmark, even measure the height of the water. Those who practice fishing with spinning from a boat, most of all like a small island, next to which there are always a lot of fish.

Fishing in spring and summer

Every season here has its own characteristics. For example, in the spring, fishermen come to Dubrovskoe Reservoir, not afraid of severe weather changes and still standing cold. The fish continues to be caught on a winter bait, stickers and small perches are found on the hook. There is a roach. According to the fishermen, by May of the month, the sticker is floating away in an unknown direction and it's stopped catching.

When summer comes, fishermen move closer to the camps of the campus. It is said that at this time the fish are caught with an enviable regularity at the bottom bait. And sometimes even without bait. Only small fishes come across small, and all of them basically have to be released. But sometimes a big silver carp can peck. When this happens, the fishermen guess how he made his way through the gateways of the paid pond.

Autumn and winter fishing

In autumn the perch season begins. However, they are usually small in size, but they peck very often, which provides the fisherman a good pastime. But it's worth to be neat closer to the shore. There, pretending to be a large prey, crayfish catch the line.

For winter fishing on the Dubrovskoe reservoir it is better to leave in February, when the ice has already become stronger. At this time of year, good specimens of bream are caught, snappers are well caught and even a pike can be caught.

Conditions for rest

At the Dubrovsky reservoir, not only fishermen can have a good time, but also people who are far from fishing. As already mentioned, behind the barrier there are equipped gazebos and barbecues. Arbor is about 10 or 15. If you arrive early, there are all chances to take any of them. Also there is a nice sandy beach. The fee from the rest is taken only if they want to drive into the territory on their own car. So often they just leave the car behind the gate on the road.
Again, this is not the only option. Besides this leased beach, there are still wild places not surrounded by a fence.

Dubrovskoe Reservoir - how to get there?

You can get there by your car to the reservoir in two ways. The choice depends on whether you go under the barrier or go around on the other side. Entrance with a booth and a barrier is located near the village of Prilepy. On the highway M2 from Minsk, you need to get to the village with the name of the Hill of Glory. There will be a turn to the right, and a mile and a half will turn to the village of Zadomlya. In the village, the first turn to the right to Anoschek, and there again to the right already towards Prilep, and already very near the Dubrovskoe reservoir (map below).

Access to the water without a checkpoint is through the village Okolitsa. It's even easier to get to it. From the road Minsk - Vitebsk, you need to turn to the road P80. The first turn to the left and it will be the road to Okolica.

Also to the Dubrovsky reservoir can be reached by public transport. Buses and minibuses go both up to Prilep, and to the outskirts of the village.

The Raubichi Complex

Not far from the Dubrovka water reservoir is the sports complex "Raubichi". This is a ski resort, as well as the republican center for training athletes for the Olympic Games in winter sports.

Thus, Dubrovskoe reservoir can serve as an excellent place for a full rest, both in the family circle and in the company of friends. Quite a close location to the city also speaks in favor of this pond.
