How paint works for clothes

The color and even the design of clothes can be successfully changed by applying special colors. They are different in colors, effects, destinations and other characteristics. The right paint for clothes is selected based on the purpose for which it is required.

If, after a long sock on the clothes, there are burned or frayed places, then you can tint it in the same color or repaint it completely in another. There are a lot of colorants on sale, so you need to choose them with special attention. The color result depends on the characteristics. In order not to spoil a thing, you need to know what fibers it consists of, what additives are part of the material. Because different colors are designed for different fabrics.

You can paint a thing only by conducting a preliminary test on a small shred of the same material. Worst of all are the coloring of garments made of nitron and lavsan. Therefore, you can repaint such things only if you fail to regret it with an unsuccessful outcome.

For viscose, linen and copper-ammonia fabrics, there is a special paint for clothing. The colors calculated for these fabrics can be safely used for repainting silk, wool, as well as nylon and nylon products. There are special colors for wool and nylon, specially designed for working with these fabrics, so if you have them, it is better to use them.

It should be borne in mind that if you need to paint a new thing that has never been washed, then you need to do this beforehand by treating it with a cleaning agent. The fact is that freshly sewn products often have a thin layer of auxiliary substances applied in the course of manufacturing (sizing compositions, antistatic agents, etc.). It can hinder painting, leading to an uneven effect. The substances applied to the fabric are removed using conventional synthetic detergents. If the fabrics are thin, then they can not even be washed, but simply rinsed in a solution of ammonia (50 g of 25% alcohol per 10 liters of water).

Be careful when painting fabrics with blisters or stains. To clean the place was not visible after staining, you need paints for clothes saturated colors. Spots also need to be removed before the repainting, because they will necessarily show again.

Note that if you want to recolor clothes in tones that are lighter than the original, then first you will need to whiten it. However, many dark industrial colors can hardly be influenced by bleaching agents used at home. Therefore, first you need to chunk the scrap, and only then start to process the entire product. Some tissues after bleaching may become less durable, so you need to read the instructions carefully.

Any paint for clothing is sold with an annotation. It is advisable to read it before buying, to be sure that it is suitable for your purposes. Before painting, the thing needs to be weighed, what exactly to determine how much color is required. Usually the standard dye packet is designed for 400 grams of dry cloth.

All colors work differently. For example, paint for clothing is black - the most predictable, because the colors of dark shades are easy to paint almost all colors. But the depth of the painting can vary depending on the original color of the product. To be sure of the result, study the table of effective colors available on the label. You need to be careful, because if you decide to paint a yellow jersey in blue using a blue dye, then the tank top will be ... green. This is the law of physics.

By the way, there is also a paint for clothes, with which you can not just repaint completely its color, but create a pattern on the fabric. It can be special acrylic compositions, paints with fluorescent components and others. With their help it is possible to put ornaments, inscriptions, whole pictures on almost all products made of fabric: vests, dresses, jackets, trousers, shorts, etc.
