What is the form of government in Russia?

The order in accordance with which the organization and interaction of the supreme bodies of the country (form of government) is carried out, is established in Russia taking into account various factors. The most significant of these are the level of political and legal culture, the balance of social and political forces, and others.

In connection with the special situation of the transition to a market economy, the form of government in modern Russia is the presidential republic. It should be said at the same time that this order has its own peculiarities.

So what form of government is in Russia?

First of all, it should be noted that along with the features that the presidential republic has in the traditional sense (in particular, with presidential control over government work), this order has some features of a parliamentary republic. These features are that the State Duma can express distrust to the Government, despite the fact that the President makes the final decision on this matter.

Also, the form of government in Russia, in the opinion of a number of authors, differs also in that there is a certain preponderance between the separate branches of power.

One of the main problems of the state structure is the territorial organization of state power. The task is to find and strengthen the optimal balance between the spheres of government at the federal level, mainly in ensuring the integrity of the territory, the unity of the country and the desire of a number of regions and regions to greater independence.

Russia is a unique state, and the form of government in Russia is built, mainly, on a contractual constitutional legal foundation. As a mechanism for independent adjustment and regulation of federal relations, treaties of a bilateral nature between the subjects of the Federation and bodies of state power. It should be noted that in terms of the number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation is in the first place in the world.

Decentralization and the increasing independence of the regions are balanced by the basic principles that are reflected in the Constitution. These principles guarantee the equality of all members of the Federation, the inviolability of the integrity of the country's territory, the unity of the foundations that make up the state system. The form of government in Russia provides for the protection of freedoms and the rights of citizens. The constitutional framework reflects the supremacy of the federal law, as well as the inadmissibility of committing any actions aimed at changing the status of entities unilaterally.

Constitutionally in the country the subjects of conducting state power bodies are divided into three categories: subjects that constitute joint management of subjects and the Federation, separate management of both the Federation and the subjects.

To harmonize federal relations, a flexible policy of interethnic harmony is needed. For this purpose, a certain concept of the country's policy is developed, which provides for the settlement and prevention of conflicts at various levels.
