Larisa Dorofeevna Mikheenko: short biography

Larisa Mikheenko was born in the town of Lakhta (near Leningrad) in 1929. Her parents, mother Tatyana Andreevna and father Dorofei Ilyich, were ordinary workers. My mother lived a very long and difficult life, and my father did not return from the Soviet-Finnish war.

1941 year. Summer vacation. The girl and her grandmother went to the Kalininskaya region to her uncle, but they did not manage to return home. The war began, and the village of Pechenevo, Pustoshinsky district, was almost immediately occupied by the fascists. Uncle agreed to work for the Germans and was appointed village chief, and the elderly mother with a pioneer niece was evicted to the bathhouse, leaving them to their fate. Grandmother and girl were always starving, they had to beg, beg and survive, eating swans and cleaning potatoes. The elderly woman and her granddaughter were not allowed to die from a famine, good-natured neighbors, who periodically fed on bread and milk.

In the partisan detachment

Spring of 1943. A friend of Larissa Raisa was given a summons with instructions to appear with a youth camp. This meant that the girl, along with the rest of the guys will be sent to Germany to work. Therefore, the girlfriends decided to take refuge in the local partisan detachment, operating since the beginning of the German occupation. The newcomers were not particularly happy there, and the existence in the forest was hard.

But the girls did not change their minds to fight against the invaders and, in the face of their older comrades, gave a partisan oath of allegiance to the Motherland. And soon they began to receive important tasks that adults were technically difficult to perform. Germans in the village of Orekhovo were driven away from the population of cattle, and young barefoot scouts with empty baskets went to the lair of the fascists (supposedly behind cabbage seedlings). From this campaign the girls brought very valuable information: the number of quartered Germans, the time of their change of sentries, the placement of fire points. After a short time, guerrillas raided the village and beat off the cattle, unjustly requisitioned by the Germans.

On a responsible job

The next task of Larisa was a visit to the village of Chernetsovo. The girl, introducing herself as a refugee, settled herself as a nurse to a local resident.

Larisa Dorofeevna Mikheenko (photo in the article) was courteously caring for the little son of the owner, walking with him, and in the process of collecting important data about the German garrison. Also the girl together with girlfriends distributed propaganda leaflets. Such actions of the girl were often conducted in places of mass congestion of the people, most often in churches for church holidays. After changing their beggars, the girlfriends appealed to the local residents allegedly for charity, and they themselves inconspicuously put in their pockets and bags leaflets folded several times. On the account of Larisa, there was even one detention by the Germans, but the girl managed to escape before the enemies learned about her involvement in the partisans.

Larisa Dorofeevna Mikheenko: feat

1943 year. August. Local partisans actively participated in the railway war, which consisted in the undermining of bridges, railway lines and enemy echelons.

Larisa Dorofeevna Mikheenko, who was well-oriented in the area, was assigned to the 21st Brigade, which was engaged in subversive operations on the railway. Calling one of these operations an assistant, Larisa, who collected valuable information about the regime of protection and the probability of mining a bridge across the Drissa River, took part in the blasting of the train. In addition, the girl managed to convince the miner that she could stealthily sneak up close to the bridge and scorch before the approaching train a fire-cord.

At the risk of herself, Larissa performed the task "perfectly". It was for this feat that the fearless girl was awarded (posthumously) the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree. November of 1943. Larissa and two of her associates went on a reconnaissance mission to the village of Ignatovo. This was the last attack of the partisans. In the village there was a traitor (according to the assumptions, his uncle Larissa), who handed over their turnout to the Germans. In the ensuing unequal battle, two girlfriends of the girl were killed, and Larissa herself was interrogated and tortured. The heart of the brave patriot of his land, which was only 14 years old, stopped beating November 4, 1943. Larissa was shot by the Germans.
