This really allowed to save money, increase volumes and shorten the terms of putting objects into operation. But the payment for this was neglected by the aesthetic expressiveness of these objects. Especially evident in the Moscow metro. The fallacy of the concept of excess was recognized only two decades later.

Architectural features of the metro station "Profsoyuznaya"

The station does not make a bright impression. There is nothing particularly outstanding either in architectural design, or even in the name of the subway station "Profsoyuznaya". "Profsoyuznaya Street" - is indicated on the signs in the underground passage and on the plates on the walls of the houses, at the exit from the metro. It was in honor of this, nothing particularly famous street in the south of Moscow, the station was named. The street itself in the early sixties of the last century was in the process of construction and only acquired the familiar form today. The authors have done everything possible to achieve individuality within the framework of the model project. This is achieved by a decorative interior decoration of the main hall. Despite the limited possibilities of a typical project of authors, no one deprived them of the opportunity to manifest themselves in the field of decorative solutions of the existing architectural volume. It was believed that a true artist can achieve expressiveness by modest means. And in many respects it was possible. Gray marble on the columns of the station is organically combined with the ceramics of the traveling walls and red granite flooring.

In the area of Profsoyuznaya street

It has been more than half a century since the working subway station "Profsoyuznaya" entered the building on the street of the same name. Moscow over these decades has very far to expand its borders in the south-west direction. At present, the area around Profsoyuznaya has lost its features in the Moscow suburbs. Today it is quite respectable and is well listed on the ratings of real estate agencies. This means that many indigenous and new Muscovites are ready to choose this region as a permanent place of residence. And in this there is nothing surprising - many new modern residential complexes, shops, cultural and entertainment establishments were built on Profsoyuznaya Street. A significant amount of works on improvement has been carried out. And the transport problem of the region was solved in the early sixties. A reliable communication with the center of the capital is provided by the Kaluga radius of the "orange" line of the Moscow metro.
