Sevastopol Victory Park is a popular holiday destination among residents and visitors of the city. In this historical place you can not only walk along numerous paths in the shade of trees, enjoying the atmosphere of a picturesque park and visiting the sights, but also visit one of the best landscaped beaches of the hero city.

Historical facts

Victory Park (Sevastopol) was founded in 1975 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Great Victory over the German invaders. In its creation, along with the civilian population of the city, the sailors of the Black Sea Fleet participated. Even students of schools, technical schools and universities have made their contribution to the arrangement of the park.

However, during the crisis of the 1990s, funding was suspended and resumed only in 2002. The city began to allocate funds for landscaping and maintenance of the park area.

Three years later, Victory Park (Sevastopol) flourished and turned into a famous recreation place for residents and visitors of the city.

In 2009 the park was reconstructed. A monument to George the Victorious was erected, benches and urns were updated, new lanterns with shattering shades appeared, the number of green plantings increased significantly.

The city-hero Sevastopol is rich in places for walking and entertainment, attractions. And Victory Park managed to occupy a worthy place among them. Its area is 45.6 hectares.

The central monument here is a huge monument in honor of St. George the Victorious, erected to the 220 anniversary of the founding of the city under the guidance of the sculptor V. Klykov.

From entertainment in the territory there is a club center "Good", a mini stadium for football and volleyball, a yacht club (Victory Park, Sevastopol), a rope park, a 5D-cinema and the only water park Zurbagan in the city of 2.08 hectares.

For children along the central alley, there are slides and trampolines, rent of electric machines and other attractions, without which now no resort town can do.

Beach

In this area there is a beach. Victory Park (Sevastopol) is located on the coast between the bays of Streletskaya and Kruglaya. From the same stop of public transport, go unhurried step through the park before it about 20-25 minutes. You can overcome this distance on an electric car for a nominal fee. In this case, the journey to the coast will take no more than 5 minutes.

The beach is landscaped and is divided into four sections by piers, which vacationers often use for jumping into the water. But here you should be careful, because at the bottom there are large boulders.

There are cabins for changing clothes, toilets, rent of sunbeds, water attractions. From the bright sun you can hide under the awning only in the left part of the beach or stay in the shade of piers.

The coastal strip is covered with small pebbles, the seabed is also stony and drifts into the depths. In the water there are large boulders.

Victory Park (Sevastopol) is an open coast and clean, though slightly cool, water. Through the transparent sea waves, you can admire the underwater world of the Black Sea without a mask and goggles.

On the beach there is a service of rescuers, there is a medical aid point.

Along the waterfront there are numerous cafes and cozy bars where you can have a delicious snack at quite reasonable prices. Nearby there are shopping tents in which you can buy souvenirs and everything you need for a beach holiday.

The entrance to the park by car is prohibited, and there is a spacious guarded parking lot nearby.

By bus, trolley or taxi to Victory Park can be reached from all areas of Sevastopol. Suitable for any transport, next to the prospect of the October Revolution in the area of the Pilots.
