Treatment of stretch marks is a matter that requires accurate calculation and patience!
Small stripes of pale pink color, appearing on the skin and differing in structure from neighboring skin areas, thin, almost imperceptible scars or of impressive size, burgundy-cyanotic scars are all a consequence of the so-called skin stretch marks.
If you find stretch marks on your body, do not despair. This kind of phenomenon is very common and is a consequence of excessive overstretch of the skin, a disruption in the production of elastin and collagen fibers responsible for elasticity and strength.
The most likely and common causes of the appearance of stretch marks on the body are:
- Pregnancy;
- obesity: an intense and rapid leap in body weight, during which the skin simply does not have time to stretch;
- pubertal period, in other words the period of puberty;
- hereditary factor;
- long-term use of hormonal drugs;
- sudden and rapid weight loss.
Striae can "hug" not only the problem zones - the abdomen and sides, but also appear on the chest, inside and outside of the thighs. The fact that over time they will become less important, is not very comforting.
Treatment of stretch marks at home allows you to remove or disguise only "young" stretch - purple or pink. It is worth noting, this type of fight is contraindicated for lactating, as well as pregnant women. In view of the fact that it has many side effects, including irritation of the skin and aggravation of allergic reactions.
Self-treatment of stretch marks involves the application to problem areas of gels or creams containing tretinoin. This substance is similar in its properties to vitamin A.
The most simple and proven ways to protect yourself from problems:
- During water procedures, massage the places that are most susceptible to the appearance of stretch marks (the area of the chest, abdomen, thighs and sides), using a massage brush or a specially designed massage glove. Such a massage will restore blood circulation, stimulate the production of elastin and collagen and promote skin renewal;
- after taking a shower or a bath, apply moisturizing cosmetics to clean skin, all kinds of creams, lotions and milk are suitable;
- allocate time for a daily massage with olive oil, which is added a couple drops of vitamin E. This procedure increases the elasticity of the skin;
- Eat foods rich in vitamins E and C, silicon and zinc.
Following simple advice, you do not have to spend nerves and strength on the treatment of stretch marks, for the sole reason - their absence.
