Annual climbing plants for summer cottages

Fire-red beans (Turkish beans) - this biennial, which is usually used as an annual. The flower grows very quickly, forming a dense and lush wall of fresh greens with bright colors. Plant it is necessary, when there is no threat of frost, because the plant belongs to the heat-loving species.

Everyone knows the fragrance of fragrant peas, pleasing the summer residents for the entire summer season. It can be planted both as seedlings and as seeds. The plant is frost-resistant, prefers sunny places and needs intensified watering.

The most common climbing plants for the house are bellies (ipomey), they are also called gramophones. Ipomea is sensitive to frost and loves sunny places. Her multi-colored flowers blossom only for one day, then they fade, and in the morning new gramophones are blossoming.

Among the annuals, such lianas as a decorative pumpkin, nasturtium, echinocystis, kobei and so on are perfectly looked and do not require special care. But for already more experienced gardeners it is preferable to use perennial climbing plants for cottages. Of these, you can create a permanent gardening on the sites allocated for this. These lianas require special care, especially when preparing for wintering (they need shelter).

Perennial climbing plants for cottages

Wisteria - perennial, which by right can be called the most luxurious vine. Her tender-lilac fragrant and lush inflorescences fall into whole bunches. That's just the flower is too sensitive to low temperature, and takes root mainly in the south.

Clematis is another fine representative of perennials. Its stellate beautiful flowers can be white, burgundy-pink or rich-violet. This is a beautiful decoration for a gazebo, garden arch or pergola. Clematis begins to bloom in early June and ends in September. But there is one condition for its growth: the foliage needs the sun, but the soil at the root and the stems should be in the shade. The heat tolerates the flower easily, but the harsh winter can not withstand, therefore for the winter the plant is removed from the support and sheltered.

Ivy - a tree-like unpretentious perennial. This evergreen vine with its dense green foliage can decorate any structure in the summer and autumn periods, while it easily suffers frosts.

Climbing roses are the most popular climbing perennials, which do not require any special care, it's enough to plant a bush and water it properly. But when buying a plant, be sure to inquire about its frost resistance, there are varieties that need shelter for winter time.

Honeysuckle - unpretentious fast-growing perennial, which feels great even in the shade. Its inflorescences consist of two-color small flowers that publish just a fairy flavor. And if you need a beautiful and fragrant wall, then honeysuckle is the most suitable option.
