What is fake?

What is fake? This issue can be heard today both from representatives of the younger generation, and from grandmothers who want to better understand their grandchildren. The word came to us from the English language, where it has several meanings. In the direct translation, "fake" means forgery or forgery.

Fake - what does this mean? Imagine the picture: you come to the store, where they sell expensive shoes of famous brands. You really liked the boots, but you understand that you can accumulate the amount drawn on the price tag, at best only by the next winter. What are you doing? Go to the nearest market, where you will find an exact copy of your favorite boots. Yes, it will not be Italian shoes (although sellers will convince you otherwise), but, for example, Turkish, but its price will be affordable for you. What is fake? This is the pair of boots you bought on the market.

Very wide application found this word in the Internet space. Today almost all famous personalities, be they politicians, sportsmen or show business stars, create their own pages in social networks. And, of course, there are people who want to make money on a famous name or just foul him. The spammer registers with friends at the star, thus gaining access to personal data, photos, videos that steal to create a parallel account. So there is a star clone. And this is the new meaning of the word fake. But very often the life of such clones is short-lived. This is due to the fact that well-known personalities often update information on their pages, replenishing them with new photos or video clips, but spammers do it much more difficult.

Scammers can work not only with the stars. They find pretty girls, pay them for video shooting and photo sessions, while leaving all the footage at their disposal. Then you create an account in social networks, which is updated some time and is replenished due to the footage. But as soon as updates end, the administration of social networks bans such accounts-clones.

More experienced spammers are much more cunning: they create a few dozen or even hundreds for this cloned account. What is fake? All these "relatives" will be registered in friends with the main clone (fake) and will also be fake.

What are the goals of the scammers? Well, first of all, it's money. On star accounts, as well as on usual, an advertisement is put up. These pages are visited daily by thousands, millions of people. Imagine the number of visits to the page of V.V. Putin, for example. And how many men in their spare time will they want to look at Anna Semenovich, to evaluate her new piquant photos, to see her next clip? Or how many women will want to revise the photos of Valery Meladze? And if there is advertising on these pages, then what is the probability that some part of the visitors will go through an advertising link? Very large. Is a woman, after listening to Meladze's new romantic song, not look at the page with exclusive women's underwear, which is advertised by the account of the favorite artist? And this means that the spammer's task has been completed and visitors have been added to the necessary sites.

What is fake and why do we fall for the swindler's bait? Any social site can become a subject of cloning. Appearance and fake menu are very similar to real. That is why at the entrance to the fake we are not straining the standard registration procedure. We safely enter their username and password in the appropriate fields and from that moment on we become clients of a special database of spammers. And they, having our personal data, start sending out spam to all our friends and acquaintances.
