What distinguish the peoples from each other: external differences, culture, countries, languages
The people, in the concept of ethnos - is a historically established community of people occupying a certain territory. This population has a stable uniqueness of the language, its culture and certain psychological characteristics. Another characteristic feature of the nationality is that this community identifies itself as a separate entity, not similar to others, and has an awareness of its integrity and unity.
The number of different peoples is very variable. For example, the Chinese or Americans are the largest ethnic groups with more than 100 million people. The peoples living in Russia also belong to a very large group. At the same time, there are very small ethnic groups, such as ouma, bin, etc. Differences in the level of socio-economic development are also significant. Some nationalities are almost at the stage of primitive, while others are at the highest stage of development.
So how do peoples differ from one another? The principles of the classification of ethnic groups vary. There are the following common grouping of peoples on different grounds.
Ethnolinguistic classification
Groups the ethnic groups according to the language relationship. According to this classification, people are divided into families. For example, there are Altai, Indo-European, Austro-Asiatic, North American, Australian and others. There are also nationalities that occupy a separate position in terms of language - chum, basque, etc. Indo-European family is the largest of all. It unites up to half the world's population. The peoples living in Russia also belong to this family.
Areal classification
According to it, the peoples are systematized according to the large regions in which individual cultural unity has developed. It is due to the long historical development of certain areas. This cultural community determines the main features of ethnic groups living in a particular region.
Race classification
It is based on the division of ethnic groups into three major races. These include Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid. What is the difference between representatives of different peoples related to a particular race? Inside, their most distinct differences are revealed at the ethnic level. There are representatives of races and genetic characters. There are also other distinctive properties that are determined not only by the geology of the world, but also by the applied sciences. For example, medicine believes that the same diseases in different races proceed in completely different ways and, accordingly, a different approach is required in their treatment.
Peoples residing on the territory of Russia
Russia is a multinational country. In addition to natural beauty, it is also rich in human resources. On its territory there are about two hundred different nationalities. A large area of Russia allows you to stay on your own spaces and peacefully coexist with many nationalities. What is the difference between peoples living in the same country? Each nationality in Russia has its own distinctive features - language and national traditions. On the territory of the country there are both large ethnic groups, and a few. Of the significant nationalities in Russia live: Tatars, Ukrainians, Bashkirs, Chuvashes, Chechens, Armenians and others. Consider the most numerous of them.
Tatars
This nationality is very common in Russia. Tatars have their own language. They also have a variety of ethnic groups.
Ukrainians
They are also a large nationality living on the territory of Russia. Ukrainians have their own distinct culture and language. Despite the fact that they live in Russia, many do not forget their traditions. On holidays they always prepare their national dishes and wear embroidered sarafans and shirts.
Bashkirs
By multiplicity they are on the fourth place. As well as Tatars, representatives of this nationality belong to Muslims. They have their own distinct culture, especially the Bashkir folklore. Tyumen, Saratov, Sverdlovsk and other areas are historically formed places of residence of representatives of this ethnos.
From all of the above, it becomes clear what distinguishes people from each other. This, first of all, different cultural traditions, language, religion, characteristic features of the external appearance. Russia, as a multinational country, has on its expanses a large number of distinct ethnic groups, each of which contributes to the development of culture and the country as a whole.
Northern peoples
Representatives of this ethnos have a rich history and their own unique national traditions. The main type of fishing is fishing, hunting, and gathering. The main source of food and clothing for the inhabitants of the North are the taiga and the river. Of the crafts the most famous is the artistic woodworking. The northern peoples are hardworking enough. Severe climatic conditions leave their imprint on the way of life and habits of people living in the area.
The difference between the Slavs and other peoples
Slavs are representatives of the Eupropean race. This is determined by such signs as unexpressed cheekbones, characteristic face profile, hair growth, etc. Due to the territory of settlement, the Slavic people are anthropologically diverse. Slavs are divided into western, eastern and southern. From the north to the south they have a marked change in pigmentation, namely the color of the eyes and hair. All representatives of this community have a similar culture and language, one religion. Russians, Ukrainians, Byelorussians, Poles - all these nationalities belong to the Slavs.
What are the external differences of peoples? These include: the cut of the eyes, the color of the skin, the hair, the structure of the skull and skeleton, and other signs, the totality of which determines the person's belonging to one or another nationality.
