What are bodybuilders in old age?

Unfortunately, age spares no one. It is possible to struggle for a long time with an old age, to postpone its arrival, but as a result all the same anybody does not remain eternally young. Different people are aging differently, but special attention should be paid to aging of bodybuilders. The fact is that they very much transform their body through physical activity, and, naturally, this can not but affect how they will look when their best years pass. Bodybuilders in old age face several major problems that are simply inevitable. Therefore, before starting a career as a bodybuilder, it is worth to get acquainted with what awaits you when this career comes to an end.

Problems with joints

The most common problem faced by bodybuilders in old age is the wear and tear of the joints. The fact is that any person all his life exercises a serious load on his joints even in the process of the most ordinary walking. The more often we have to bend arms and legs, the more weight we put on them, the faster the joints wear out. Most people have problems with joints after 60 years. Someone in all life does not feel the slightest difficulty on this issue, and someone has difficulties with walking after 50 years. As for bodybuilders, this problem concerns much earlier. Former bodybuilders often begin to experience joint problems after 40 years, and some have to finish their careers as early as 30, because in the process of training, when muscle mass is being built up and maintained, athletes load joints several times more than ordinary people. This results in faster wear of the joints. Unfortunately, to avoid this is simply impossible, it remains only to hope that the joints will last as long as possible.

Loads on the back

Another source of problems for bodybuilders is their back. It is on her that she has a heavy load, so she can not suffer. In the process of training a sportsman can repeatedly tear his back, and if he is not lucky, then the result of intensive training may become a hernia. Bodybuilders in old age often suffer from all possible diseases associated with the back. If you reduce the exercises associated with the burden on the back, that is, for example, squats with a lot of weight, you can reduce the likelihood of getting a breakdown of the back or hernia in youth, as well as serious consequences in old age.

Obesity

Strange as it may seem, bodybuilders are often obese in old age. This is due to the fact that over the long years of recruitment of muscle mass they are getting used to the fact that they need to eat tight and constantly eat. In old age, they stop doing bodybuilding, but the habit remains, and bodybuilders continue to eat, resulting in overweight and even obesity. But even if the athlete observes a diet, the muscles are not preserved forever. Over time, they lose their external data, become unattractive. Even well-known bodybuilders, for example Arnold Schwarzenegger, try not to show their lost form muscles, appearing in the movies or appearing in public.
