What do you need for a vehicle inspection?

The current rules for passing the inspection are fixed in the law, which came into force in 2012. However, a year later there were motorists unfamiliar with these rules. The rules of passing the technical inspection-2012 greatly simplified this procedure. If earlier information about the inspection was stored only in paper form, now all operators are connected to a single electronic database, which records information about each car that passed this procedure. The list of this information consists of the following items:

1) car make and model, VIN and body number;

2) the full name and details of the passport (or other identity documents) of the person who delivered the car;

3) the address of the point;

4) the number, validity period and date of issue of the coupon or the coupon itself in the electronic version;

5) electronic version of the diagnostic card;

6) full name of the specialist who issued the ticket.

And the information is entered into the database almost immediately (within 24 hours). This means that in the event that the car owner was not able to undergo a one-point inspection because of a malfunction and decided to go to another (with less vigilant employees), he will not do anything. Another nice innovation is the reduction in the list of documents required for inspection. So, in accordance with the regulations in force, the following documents are required to pass the inspection:

1) the passport or other documents certifying your identity (for the representative of the owner of the car you also need a power of attorney);

2) certificate of registration of the car or (if the car is not registered) PTS.
