"Wedding in Malinovka": actors of the gold fund of the national cinema
In 1967, in our film distribution, they broke out ahead of them, far ahead of their competitors by the number of spectators, two films that were among the top ten unconditional leaders in the history of Soviet cinema. One of them is "The Wedding in Malinovka", a little behind the "Caucasian captive".
The film "The Wedding in Malinovka" was staged by the famous actor and director Andrei Tutyshkin on the operetta of Boris Alexandrov. The picture was timed to the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution, and its action takes place during the Civil War. The inhabitants of the village have already lost count - so many times they had to survive the change of power. But soon the coveted holiday is coming - a couple of lovers, Andrei and Yarinka, decided to get married, why not have a reason to have fun?
But, as luck would have it, at this time the terrain is captured by Pan Gritsian's gang, and the plans of the fated can collapse. Help in the forces except that a detachment of red cavalry, which is hiding nearby. The leader of the Red Army Nazar Duma. Yarinka and her mother Sophia do not even suspect that it is a long mourning of their father and husband, who was condemned by the tsarist authorities, a revolutionary whose traces were lost in exile. So begins the sparkling "Wedding in Malinovka". Actors in it - as a selection! The star of the screen and handsome Vladimir Samoilov played the role of Nazar Duma. The most colorful figures are the married couple Gorpina Dormidontovna and Nechipor in the brilliant performance of Zoya Fedorova and Eugene Lebedev. It is with Gorpina that she performs her famous dance "In that steppe" (tester) by artilleryman Yashka. Mikhail Pugovkin was not given a dance, he spent on her learning a month and a half. But then she became forever a kind of "visiting card" of the actor.
Masters of the episode
Actors of the film "Wedding in Malinovka" managed to create a real miracle, from the episodic roles blinded by memorable characters. So, for example, even a very young Tamara Nosova played a soldier Komarikha, and her quarrels with Tryyndychikha (Emma Treivas), very short, very decorated comedy. The master of the episode Alexei Smirnov, who carries a huge bottle of moonshine, is touched. And how funny he tries on a bra instead of a cap! The catchy image of Red, a kind of front-line girlfriend in the Gritsian gang with an uninterrupted cigar in the corner of his mouth, was created by Ukrainian actress Margarita Krinitsina, forever left for the public by Pronka herself from the comedy "For Two Hares".
The musical numbers of the painting "The Wedding in Malinovka" are wonderful. Actors Nikolai Slichenko (cavalryman Petya Bessarabets) and Mikhail Vodyanoy (adjutant of Popandopulo) sang beautifully, as they both shone with vocal skill, one in the Roma gypsy theater, the other on the operetta stage.
Mikhail Vodian and his priest Populopoulos are undoubtedly the best find of the comic comedy The Wedding in Malinovka. Actors often become hostages of one role, but the movie was not the main thing in the life of Vodian (the real name of the artist is Wasserman, he is from a Jewish family, however, in spite of the legends, he is not Odessa, but a native of Kharkov). The meaning of the existence of this artist lay in a different plane. Odessa operetta theater, which he headed at the end of his life, that was the center of his universe. But if someone starts to remember the film "Wedding in Malinovka", the actors who come to mind first are Vodian and Pugovkin. Of course, Abrikosov's venerable artists, Andrei and Grigory, who also played the roles of relatives of each other: Balyasnoy and his son, who took the sonorous pic ataman Gritsian Tavrichesky, remain in memory.
An interesting fact: it turns out, the tape was filmed in the real village of Malinovka, which is in the Kharkiv region. And all the extras are real raspberry inhabitants. That's how the village, and artists (professionals and local residents) entered the gold fund of such a revered by our people of national cinema.
