In autumn 1993, the second wife of a venerable director discovered an oncology. Ryazanov grabbed for any possibility of recovery, got scarce drugs, took him to Germany for treatment. Magic did not happen. Soon his wife died.

It takes only six months after the death of the second wife Ryazanov, as he enters into a new relationship with the third partner of life, journalist Emma Abaidullina, with whom he lived until the end of his days.
