We prepare wine from jam at home

Often winter reserves of conservation remain on the shelves of the pantry for several years. In principle, it is inherent in varnish to preserve its properties, both taste and color, for a long time. But the landladies want to roll something out of a new crop, but it's a pity to throw out the old one. Still, the effort and the time spent.

In this case, there are several interesting and simple recipes for how to make wine from jam at home. This drink turns out to be fragrant, tart and sweet, with a pleasant berry flavor and aftertaste. And you can cook it from any jam: cherry, plum, currant, apricot. The advantage of a home-made wine is its naturalness and simplicity of production.

Cherry wine from jam at home

For the preparation of cherry wine you need 1 liter of jam, preferably pitted, 1 liter of prepared water (see below) and at least 100 grams of raisins of any sort. Begin the process of making home-made wine with the preparation of containers: this is suitable for a normal three-liter bottle, which must be cleaned with soda solution, and then sterilized for a couple and dried. Then you need to boil one liter of water and leave it to the side to cool to room temperature. Jam should be put in a prepared bottle and pour cold water. Here we throw a handful of raisins. All components are thoroughly mixed, close the container with cap cap and leave in a warm place for 10 days. The second stage is the receipt of wort. To do this, you need to remove the pulp from the surface and strain the contents of the bottle through gauze. The fabric needs to be folded in several layers, so that it retains the remnants of the meszgi. The resulting liquid must be poured into another prepared bottle, put a rubber glove on the neck and clean it for 40 days in the basement or pantry. All 40 days there will be a process of fermentation, this will be witnessed by an inflated glove. When it is blown off, the fermentation is over. If the wine in the bottle is transparent, then it is ready. It must be carefully poured into bottles, so as not to raise the sediment from the bottom, and leave for another 40-60 days in a dark place.

Homemade wine from currant jam

To make this alcoholic beverage, you will need an old currant jam, red or black (1 l), fresh grapes (200 g), rice groats (200 g) and two liters of water. We prepare the container for wine and water in advance, as described above. Jam, rice (unwashed) and grapes are put in a bottle, poured with cooled water, mixed and covered with a rubber glove. The fermentation process according to this recipe lasts about 20 days. When the glove is blown off, and the wine becomes transparent, it is gently bottled: it is ready for use.

Strawberry wine from jam at home

This drink has an unusual aroma and spicy taste. To prepare it you will need:

  • Jam made of strawberry 1 liter.
  • Raisins 130 g.
  • Water 2.5 liters.

We begin the preparation process, as always, with the preparation of the container. At the same time, we soak raisins in hot water. Jam carefully mix with water, add raisins and leave under a sterile rubber glove for fermentation. When the process is over, the liquid is filtered through gauze and bottled. Tightly sealed containers are left in a cool place for 3 days. Strawberry wine from jam at home is ready. If all terms and technological process are consistent in accordance with the rules, the drink will turn out to be transparent, amber, with a rich taste and aroma.
