What is remarkable is Mount Olympus

On the TV screens of Russia, the Olympian gods travel, suddenly succumbing to passion and exchanging their spirituality for illusory wealth in the form of services of a notorious bank, the sponsor of the forthcoming Olympic Games in Sochi. They, who descended from Olympus, do not leave the idea that a miracle can be accomplished with the help of money.

Meanwhile this miracle has already happened long ago and not on the television screen. Miracle is a planet Earth with a unique in its beauty nature. And a worthy part of these beauties is Mount Olympus, from where, according to the ancients, the gods descended into our not so wonderful reality.

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain range in Greece. The ancient Greeks, apparently, were not much concerned about the selection of exact definitions. Or maybe they just did not come nearer to this elevation, which is understandable - after all, the gods lived there! In any case, it is not just a mountain, but rather a decent size array with four main peaks: Mitakas, in tourist routes known as the "Top of Zeus", Stephanie, she is the "Throne of Zeus", as well as Scala and Scolio. In addition, there are many smaller vertices here. All these Greeks called "Mount Olympus." Forgive them this negligence, especially as otherwise they were extremely neat. Thanks to that, the magnificent landscapes, which famous Mount Olympus in Greece, have reached our times in excellent condition and almost pristine beauty. Since 1938, the territory of this massif has been declared a National Park with all the ensuing favorable consequences for biodiversity.

In short, a tourist here has something to see. Flora and fauna here are extremely rich. In the National Park there are plant species that are not found in other parts of the world. And the fauna strikes with its diversity and some touching virginity. Therefore, like a pedestrian tourist, an auto-tourist has every chance to shoot a video or a camera, the life of wild animals.

Like all others, Mount Olympus strikes its species from any distance. And you can approach it in various ways. Of course, in the first place, this is a route for those who like to measure distances with their feet and, in principle, do not mind climbing the mountains. Even a novice tourist can easily find a way to the top of the hill, this is navigation. Do not miss.

There are also pleasant trivia for courageous travelers. These are specialized recreation centers and numerous cafes with national cuisine. You can spend the night right in the monastery of St. Dionysius. Particularly bold and persistent, those who will conquer the highest peak - Mitakas, are awarded a special certificate, which will say that Mount Olympus, Greece are conquered by you once and for all! Probably nice to bring home such a thing. It's certainly not everyone on the wall hangs.

But if you still have a fear that you can miss the throne of Zeus, then, after hiking, take advantage of the traditional lift in such cases. Or, taking a car, ride with a breeze along the mountain serpentine. This is already a matter of taste and personal preference.
