Warm Heating System

A novelty called "electric warm floor" appeared on the market in the first half of the nineties and immediately aroused the interest of the Russian buyer. At the time of the appearance of warm floors were presented only in "cable performance" and were at the same time "good money", because not everyone was available. Now the picture is slightly different: thanks to the increased competition, this heating system has become available to almost everyone, now not only cable-based floors, but also various ultra-thin floors based on infrared film are on the market .

The system "warm floor" implies a system of direct electric heating of the premises. It can be used as a basic, and an additional source of heating (all depends on the capacity of the selected kit). The service life of such a system is tens of years, besides it does not require any maintenance.

Electric floor heating is often completed with installation kits, which includes a corrugated tube for mounting a temperature sensor and a mounting tape (for a cable "floor"). In order to mount such a heating system, in addition to the complete set of the warm floor, it is necessary to purchase a temperature sensor and thermal insulation.

For today it is possible to choose to itself quite decent system from 800 rubles for 1 sq.m. Thermoregulators, depending on their performance and functionality, can cost from 800 to 5000 rubles. Thermostats for electric floor heating are available in various versions: standard with mechanical thermostat, electronically controlled, and programmable, which can set different modes of operation of the warm floor.

Electric warm designs are classified into:

1) By type of execution

-Cable in screed (based on heating cable)

- ultra-thin mats for tiles (a thin electrical cable fixed on the grid)

- infrared film for carpet, linoleum, laminate, etc.

-Straight infrared in screed

2) Power per square meter

- as an additional source of heat (100-150 W / m²)

- as the main heating (160-260 W / m.kv)

Before buying an "electric floor heating" system, you first need to decide in which room they will be installed and which type will suit you. Pay attention preferably to well-known brands with a developed sales network and service support.

For installation of a warm floor many manufacturers recommend to address to the qualified experts, but, basically, it can be made and independently. The main thing is to observe the installation instructions and safety measures.
