These recognized attributes of home comfort are often called violets, forgetting about the scientific name given to the plant in honor of Baron von St. Paul, accidentally stumbled upon a wild predecessor during a walk back in the nineteenth century. From these ancient times more than three thousand varieties of the city have been introduced into the culture, and each of them is unique and delicious. And we will talk about the new representative of the family Gesneriev - violet Chic Mack.

The need for generously soft diffused light is completely compensated by placing the container with the plant in well-lit windows of the southeastern, southwestern or western directions with periodic passage of the sun.

Wicking water

The whimsical beauty of the violet does not tolerate waterlogging, drying up of the soil, as well as getting water on rosettes, leaves and flowers, as the tender tissues of the plant decay. In this regard, the usual methods of irrigation here do not apply, and practice, as already mentioned, the wick watering, well-established in the cultivation of the Chic Poppy.

The method consists in using a rope-wick connecting the container with water and a pot with an planted plant.
