The history of the appearance of the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "Vsezaritsa" refers to the XVII century. According to the legend of the Athonite elders Joseph Hysyhast, the Virgin through her icon saved from the error of a young man who practiced witchcraft and sorcery. The first miracle of the Blessed Virgin Mary, revealed through Her image of the "All-Russian", was as follows.

Intending to test the efficacy of his magic, a young man came to the Vatopedi monastery on Athos, and began to practice before the holy image of the Virgin. At the same moment, the face of the Virgin Mary flashed a bright lightning light, and the young man was thrown invisibly to the side. Coming to himself, the young man with tears of repentance came to the monastery elder, confessing his sin and promising to leave malicious conjuring exercises. After this miracle, the young man took monastic vows, remaining for obedience to the holy Mount Athos. Thus, the holy image of the "Vsezarica" was glorified, showing an example of a great miraculous power.

Later, Christian believers began to celebrate the help of the Virgin during the healing of various tumorous diseases, including malignant ones, better known as cancerous tumors. It is known that this disease is almost not cured by medical intervention. As early as the XVII century, Christians began to notice that after a hot prayer brought to the Virgin before the holy image of the "Pantanasse", many patients received miraculous healing. Since that time, the icon became known to the whole world, and the icon-painters began to make exact copies and lists from the miraculous image.

The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Vsetsaritsa" in Moscow
