However, in the next season, the football player was rehabilitated and, having played 37 games, scored 21 goals in them. Life has a zebra coloring, so Vincenzo's 2005-2006 season did not work out. Getting injured during the season, had again and again to return to the infirmary. The most serious injuries were injuries to the back and shoulder, the football player suffered 2 operations.

In January 2007, the striker went on a lease to conquer the English league, playing for the London "Fulham". The first match for this team he spent in the FA Cup, taking a place in the starting lineup. And the coach was not mistaken, having decided to do so, because Montella was able to score twice in the gate, "Leicester City". This striker quickly became popular with fans, because he scored his opponents again and again. However, all good things end sooner or later. And he had to return to "Roma" again.

In the 2007-2008 season, the football player was again on loan, this time in FC Sampdoria. Next season the player spent in "Roma". In 2009, he announced that he would no longer appear on the pitch as a player.
