Kremlin ballet: history, repertoire, troupe, purchase of tickets

Theater "Kremlin Ballet" was founded by choreographer and teacher Andrei Petrov. The repertoire of the troupe is mainly classical works. The ballet is located in the building of the Kremlin Palace.

History of the theater

Theater "Kremlin Ballet" opened its doors in 1990. The creative credo of the team is "Fidelity to traditions combined with the creation of new original productions." Theater "Kremlin Ballet" takes part in the project "Russian Seasons". Its organizers are Andris Liepa and Andrei Petrov. The project is designed to revive the masterpieces of the legendary "Russian Seasons" by Sergei Diaghilev.

Andrei Petrov

The Kremlin ballet was created by its permanent chief choreographer and art director AB Petrov. Andrei Borisovich - People's Artist of Russia, Professor, winner of various awards.

After graduating from the choreography school A. Petrov will serve in the Bolshoi Theater for more than twenty years as a ballet soloist. He was distinguished by his temperament, technicality, and was also a gallant and reliable partner.

After graduating in 1977, the Institute of Theatrical Art became a choreographer-director. The internship took place at the legendary Yuri Grigorovich. Repeatedly he was a co-author of Boris Pokrovsky. Andrei Borisovich staged ballets and dances in operas in Russian and foreign theaters: in Moscow, Sofia, Chelyabinsk, Bashkiria, Shanghai, Yekaterinburg, Boston and others. Repeatedly he was a librettist of his productions.

For the "Kremlin Ballet", which he created in 1990, A. Petrov staged seventeen performances.

The performances of Andrei Borisovich differ in their content, talented drama, innovative solutions, maturity of thought and brightness. They contribute to the creative growth of dancers both in terms of technique and in terms of artistry.

In addition to the "Kremlin Ballet", A. Petrov, together with A. Liepa since 2005, runs the choreographic project "Russian Seasons of the XXI Century".

Andrei Borisovich is not only a director, he is a teacher - a professor at the Moscow Academy of Choreography. A. Petrov was awarded orders and medals.
