USA

This country primarily has the largest reserves of shale gas in the world. They extract it from oil shale, and it consists mostly of their methane. The largest deposits of gas in the US are in the Gulf of Mexico. Along with this, the real giant since 1965 is Point Thompson, which is part of the oil and gas basin of northern Alaska. Here the bowels of the earth contain 3 trillion m³. To transport the resource, the country is building a gas pipeline. It stretches from Point Thompson to the very coast of the Pacific Ocean, and from there to the heart of America - Washington.

Experts say that this deposit can provide 7% of the annual demand of the United States. It is expected that the gas pipeline will be completed in 2018, and then its full operation will begin.

Saudi Arabia

There are more than a quarter of the explored reserves of oil. In general, this is about 260 billion barrels. Also, this country is the main regulator of oil prices in the world and the leader of OPEC.

As for gas, in the next 10 years the state will double its production. Export deliveries are not expected, the resource will provide only domestic needs of the state. And although the state is only 10th in the list of countries that have large deposits of blue fuel, it is the 5th in the rating of the most productive and active miners of this resource. Experts cite a figure of 4.5 trillion cubic meters - this is proven reserves of gas. In the world, few countries can boast of such results.

Most of the blue fuel deposits in Algeria are gas, free from the hulls of oil deposits, or one that is in gas fields. The rest of the resource (about 15%) is dissolved in oil, namely in the main gold deposit of Hassi-Messaud. The largest gas field is Hassi-Rmel, other known resource extraction points are Nezla, Gurd-Nus and Wend-Numer.
