Too Early Sex Is Dangerous

If earlier on fences they wrote: "Masha + Sasha = love", today the word "love" is often replaced by the word "sex". This is very typical: modern youth prefer not to "bother" with love and build their relationships on the basis of sexual partnership. Moreover, the age at which this partnership begins to decline continues. As family psychologists note, today, on average, three out of four teenagers have a sexual debut in adolescence. Girls - an average of 16 years, boys - at 15. Most often, the first sexual contact occurs with unfamiliar people (42% of girls and 68% of boys). This is usually casual sex, which does not imply permanent partnership. Teenagers go for it for the sake of curiosity. As a result, by the age of 19, more than half of the girls have managed to change to 6 partners. Such promiscuous sex leads to the fact that out of thousands of teenagers 652 are infected with sexually transmitted infections. This is explained, first of all, by the fact that a small percentage of young men and women use reliable contraception.

There is another problem of early sex. Pregnant women, many girls hide this fact and try to get rid of it in any way from the child. Family psychologists pay attention that among teenagers today such conversations are not uncommon: a school girlfriend has a delay - probably, she is pregnant. The way out of this situation for them is quite obvious - abortion. Its consequences are usually not thought of. So there is nothing surprising in the fact that today in Russia the number of births and abortion in adult women is about the same, and in adolescents - 1: 4.
But in many cases faced by doctors and family psychologists, insisting on childbirth is dangerous, since the body of a young girl has not yet completed her growth and formation, so the birth of a child for her is fraught with a deadly risk. It is no accident that maternal mortality among adolescents is 5-8 times higher than among adult women.

Early sexual life badly affects not only the health of adolescents, but also on their psyche. Family psychologists cite the following figures: more than 25% of sexually active teenage girls suffer from depression (among their non-sex-oriented rosters, only 7.7%). In addition, those girls who early parted with virginity, three times more likely to commit suicide. Among boys this indicator is even higher.
