Vicente del Bosque - the legend of "Real" and the Spanish national team

December 23, 1950 can be considered one of the main dates in the history of Spanish football. The thing is that Vicente del Bosque was born on this day. The biography of this man is simply impressive. Vicente twice won the Champions League, the Spanish championship and the cup. This is not the whole track record of the Spaniard. He coached not only Real Madrid, but also Spain, with whom he managed to win at the main big tournaments.

Thus, "Usach", as he is sometimes called, became the only coach in the world who managed to win the Champions League, as well as the European and world championships.

Career in football player

At the age of 18 Vicente was in Madrid "Real", but the basis of the club he could not get through for six years. Only at the age of 24 he became a player of the basic structure of "cream". The Spanish football player, who in six years changed the position of the striker to the midfielder, was remembered for the fans with excellent dribbling, although it was hard to call it technical. Also, Del Bosque was not considered a star player, he was a fighter on the field, which fans are so fond of and respected.

According to experts and Vicente del Bosque himself, he played his best match in the game with Barcelona in the season 1977/78. In that game, "Real" won, and the midfielder received the award as the best player of this match. In a game with the "Hamburg" Del Bosque fought with Kevin Keegan. In general, the Spaniard has never been shy of tough fighting and always joined in combat.

In the Spanish national team, he was a rare guest. And even if he received a call to the national team, he could not get into the starting lineup. Despite all the troubles in the team, in the club the football player remained a favorite of the fans and one of the best players of the "galaktikos". He had excellent relations with the club's coaches and with the players. Devotion and love for "Real" became the reason for the fact that in 1984 "Mr. Potato" (another nickname) got into the coaching staff of "creamy".

Coach "Real"

To coaching career Vicente del Bosque was preparing from the age of 27, when he decided to obtain the appropriate license. Almost his whole career as a club coach is connected with Real Madrid. In 1994, he for two months was the head coach of the team, and before that he worked as a coach for youth teams. In 1996, he was the coach of the "Real" one match, when "Galactikos" defeated "Athletic", scoring five unanswered goals.

Since 1999 and 2003 del Bosque was again the main in Madrid "Real". It was a golden period for both the coach and the club. For four years the team twice won the Champions League and the championship of Spain, and also Madrid won the European Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.

Leaving the "Real"

But Del Bosque did not have enough of these results to stay at the helm of the "creamy" ones. Florentino Perez invited a new coach, and for this the fans hate the then president until now. In 2003, Del Bosque had the opportunity to stay in the club, but in a different position. Yet Vicente decided to leave. After the "Real" Vicente did not work anywhere, then a little unsuccessfully coached "Besiktas", which he even tried, and was a commentator on television. In 2006, "Usach" received an offer from the Mexican Football Federation, but rejected it.

At this time in the "Relay" was the election of the president of the club. Vicente supported Juan Palacio for a long time, so if he became president of the club, Del Bosque would be appointed head coach of Galactosos again. But this was not meant to happen. Elections were won by Ramon Calderon, and it was possible to forget about work in the Spanish club del Bosque.

By the way, not only del Bosque after parting with the "Real" for a long time did not taste the great victories, but the royal club without Del Bosque did not win victories in big tournaments. Yes, they won the championship and the cup of Spain, but in Eurocups luck passed by "creamy" from year to year. No coach has been able to achieve similar results in the club in Madrid in such a short time, as did Vicente del Bosque.

World Cup 2010

Since 2008, Del Bosque is the coach of the Spanish national football team. This post he received after Luisa Aragones left the post of the head coach of the "Red Furies" , who won the European Championship in the summer. In September of the same year, Spain beat Bosnia and Herzegovina, scoring one unrequited ball into the opponent's net. This was the first match of the new coach.

In July 2010 in South Africa, the Spanish national football team became the world champion. In the final, "Red Furies" beat the Netherlands national team with a minimum score, missing a lot of points in order to increase their advantage. This was the first victory for the Spanish national team. She made Vicente del Bosque the most popular coach in all of Spain.

Euro 2012

In 2012, the Spanish national team scored another major victory. At the European Championships the Spaniards started the tournament uncertainly and could fly out of Portugal in the semifinals, but the second European Championship in a row and the third big tournament stayed behind Spain once again. In the final, the Spaniards scored four unanswered goals against Italy.

In 2013 the Spaniards lost with a large score to the Brazilians in the final of the Confederations Cup. Then a series of failures began. The Red Fury experienced difficulties in friendly games, and at the World Cup in 2014, which was held in Brazil, the Spaniards could not leave the group, losing the first two matches to the combined teams of Holland and Chile.
