Toll road in Belarus. Paid travel on the roads of Belarus

If Americans like to spend their holidays in Mexico, the Russians are very pleased to go to the great Belarusian country, or, as the country is officially called, the Republic of Belarus. What attracts the neighboring state with Russia? First, of course nature! Where else do you find such a variety of flora and fauna collected on a small piece of land, especially in comparison with the territory of the Russian Federation. In the reserves of this region you can meet bison, wild boars, deer, moose, beavers. Birch groves, pine forests, oak groves and tall, boundless spruce forests beckon with their inconceivable aroma and fascinate the shady alleys, as if inviting the traveler to take a walk through the store. The unique ensemble of the country's natural heritage attracts tourists from all over the world, despite the fact that it is necessary to pay for the pleasure and pay a lot. The toll road in Belarus two years ago earned its full power, bringing in the state treasury a considerable income from this enterprise.

Purely not where cleaned

Purely, where they do not litter. This unwritten rule worked, worked and would work forever. And an example is Belarus, for example, the city of Minsk. This is the second of the undeniable advantages of recreation here. The capital of the republic on the right is the title of one of the greenest cities in Europe. Residents of the megapolis and those who came from other cities of the republic, throw garbage in the city and beyond, even cigarette butts, only in specially designated places: urns, ashtrays, garbage containers. Following the example of local residents, the guests of the capital, including Muscovites, who actively fill guest houses in Minsk, not only on holidays, but also on working days, do the same.

By car or plane

From Moscow to Minsk there is a toll road "M1 Belarus", and the average travel time by car is only seven to eight hours drive. Fast, convenient and comfortable. And also mobile. You can easily navigate the city, and if necessary, also without problems get beyond it. Those who want even faster can book a ticket for the regular flight Moscow-Minsk, rent a car at the airport and after 15 kilometers already enter the capital. The main thing to remember is that a single toll road departs from the national airport of Minsk. In Belarus, as a rule, there are no alternatives. With this method of moving tourists from outside the Customs Union will also have to pay for travel on the highway.

On the Moscow Ring Road without traffic jams

Happy sleep of every Moscow motorist ride on the Moscow Ring Road on weekdays without traffic jams, you can do it here in Minsk. There is its MKAD: Minsk Ring Road. A low number of cars and a well-organized traffic movement prevents the occurrence of various kinds of road problems. Of course, traffic jams happen here, but very, very rarely. Every information kiosk in places where drivers rest on the Moscow Ring Road has a toll road map of Belarus. Drivers of heavy vehicles are easier to plan their route, and if necessary, then immediately and correct it. Foreign tourists, as well as drivers from the former Soviet republics, can pay for travel right here, through terminals "Beltoll" or operators of petrol stations. Advance payment of toll roads in Belarus allows to avoid unpleasant moments when meeting with patrols of militia, GAI or on checkpoints of automatically fixed offenses. On the Moscow Ring Road without traffic jams - this is the third reason to go to the friendly Republic.

Calm, just calm

Paid travel on the roads of Belarus does not stop the increasing number of tourists searching for the Mecca of peace and tranquility every year. Do you know that Belarusians are the most unconflicted nation in the territory of the former USSR? A calm atmosphere and safety on the streets of cities, both large and small, attracts family travelers with children for safe recreation and pastime. According to statistics, every eight out of ten offenses in the territory of the state are committed by citizens of other states or stateless persons. Penalties for such crimes are severe, and their number is gradually decreasing.

Toll road in Belarus

The history of the development of payment for travel in the Republic dates back to the distant days of the Soviet Union when, during the preparation for the Moscow Olympics, a magnificent highway was designed and built with a four-lane highway scheme (two lanes in one direction and two in the other) A wide safety belt separating traffic flows. The main purpose of this global construction was the rapid movement of athletes from the European part of the continent directly to the Olympic Village, not far from Moscow. The toll road "M1 Belarus" a few years ago was called: "Olympics". It stretches from the border with Poland (the Republic of Poland) in the area of the village of Kozlovichi (Brest) through the main cities of the country: Kobrin, Baranovichi, Minsk, Borisov, Orsha; With a former border crossing in the village of Krasnaya Gorka, where the modern route enters the territory of the Russian Federation. Bypassing Smolensk, Yartsevo, Vyazma and Mozhaisk, the route goes to Moscow, where it merges smoothly with Kutuzovsky Prospect after the Ring Road ring.

With the world in a thread

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union and until the creation of the Customs Union, the so-called environmental fee was acting on the territory of the state . That is, in fact, already at that time there was paid travel on the roads of Belarus, because they offered everyone to pay bribes when crossing the payment of fare posts. In order to increase the attractiveness of the motorway, the maximum permitted speed for passenger cars was increased from the permitted 90 km / h to 110 km / h in the main sections of the stretch, where this was permissible in terms of road safety. Transit travel along the highway across the country assumed a four-fold collection of the road tax. For cars, in terms of Russian rubles, this amount was 22 rubles. That is 88 rubles for one way. Not so much, but everyone had to pay, except cars on internal numbers, that is, the Belarusians themselves.

Beltoll

Since March 1, 2013, after the creation of the Customs Union, the republic has switched to a different way of charging money from motorists. The national service "Toll roads in Belarus" officially appeared in the country. "Beltoll" - the company-operator of the toll network, like most organizations of the country, the state. All received money goes directly to the treasury of the republic. Tariffs for fare have increased by several orders of magnitude. Now instead of 88 rubles the driver is forced to pay about 25-30 euros for transit travel on a toll road. But there is good news. Not only the Belarusians themselves have been freed from the fare payment, but also all the states officially entering the Customs Union. And besides the Republic itself, at the moment there are only two such: the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan.

Price of issue

Under the impact were not only European autotravelers, but also residents of neighboring Ukraine and other former Soviet republics, with the exception of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. For some of them, it's a pretty strong blow to the family budget. Many Ukrainians have relatives living in the territory of the republic, and now the number of visits is likely to be reduced. Not everyone can afford to give each time about 40-50 euros for such road fees when traveling in both directions. But drivers of heavy vehicles will have to give even more money for toll roads in Belarus. Prices for the passage of one kilometer for a wagon in two, and even three times more (depending on the number of axles) than for drivers of cars.

And do they check?

Still as they check. The entire network of toll roads is covered with special DSRC (specialized short-distance radio), which remotely detect if the fare is paid for a particular car. Some frame pillars (portals) are equipped with automatic payment collection stations. After driving through such portals, a transmitter mounted on the glass of your car emits a beep. This is a confirmation that the payment for the fare is written off from your account. Camcorders and DSRC transceiver frames very quickly reveal the violators of the payment regime, automatically recording the number of the unlucky traveler's car in the penalty box. Well and further only business of technics.

Who else was lucky

The toll road map of Belarus becomes more and more extensive every year, capturing the main arterial arteries of the country in its radio networks and depriving motorists of the opportunity to quickly pass paid sections along secondary roads. However, there are several categories of vehicles that are exempt from road tolls. This applies to those who travel on mopeds or motorcycles, wheeled tractors and self-propelled vehicles with local, Belarusian registration. The right of free travel is also used by operational vehicles, ambulances, humanitarian convoys, as well as vehicles used for defense and law enforcement purposes, as well as route vehicles that carry out urban passenger transport. But cars with permissible total weight of more than 3.5 tons (in common people - trucks), even if they are registered with the countries of the Customs Union, are obliged to pay travel in any case.

Where to buy and how to pay

The toll road in Belarus begins immediately after the city line of Brest. The payment is made by renting a special transmitter, at the same time it is necessary to leave the collateral value, which is returned after the device is returned to the collection point and personal account replenishment, which opens to the registration data of your car during the primary lease of the beacon transmitter.

The most important surprise that awaits drivers wishing to pay for travel is that since January 2015 all settlements in the Republic of Belarus should be carried out only in the national currency, namely in Belarusian rubles. You can also pay with a plastic card, provided that the issuing bank is not included in the number of US and EU sanctioning organizations. If there is no card or it does not work, you have to look for the nearest bank, and they are located, as a rule, only in big cities. Such a circular pledge pushes for non-payment of travel and the compulsory need to use free-of-charge paid roads in Belarus. The fine for such a violation can reach up to several thousand euros. And this is no longer a joke.

And as in Europe

The cost of toll roads in Belarus is quite high, especially in comparison with other, more developed countries in Europe. The cost of using roads in Austria for ten days will cost 8.7 euros (by buying a vignette), in Slovenia - 15 euros per week, in Hungary - 9.4 euros per week. In Italy, France and Spain, as in Belarus, the use of toll roads is paid directly at the entrance to the paid site, but the cost of services in these countries is higher. Or maybe it's worth taking an example from the Scandinavian countries? Sweden, Denmark, Finland - there is no fee for using roads for cars registered in another country.
