The group "Kar-men" was one of the most popular Soviet, Russian music bands in the early and mid-nineties. It became a cult trend in music and dances of that time. The group was created in 1989 by Sergey Lemoh and Bogdan Titomir. But a year later the team disintegrated. Titomir went into solo work. However, the music project did not cease to exist. The soloist of the band "Carmen" and the author of the songs Lemoh continued his creative activity.

Start

Sergei was born on May 14, 1965 in the city of Serpukhov. The future stage idol studied at the Moscow Cooperative Institute and graduated in 1988 with a degree in "commodity science". But he also has a music education: 7 years of school and 4 years of jazz studio. His future career in show business the future soloist of the band "Carmen" began in 1981. He played keyboards and sang in restaurants, worked as a DJ. Somewhat later, he joined the musicians first to Dmitry Malikov, and then to Vladimir Maltsev, for whom he wrote the song "Paris, Paris". Subsequently, it was with this composition that the history of the "Kar-Men" group began.

The Nineties

The first album of the project turned out to be unusual: the songs were told about different countries and cities. The name of the disc was given by the corresponding one - "Around the World". The next album - "Kar-Mania" - was released without the participation of Bogdan Titomir.

Since 1991, the apogee of the popularity of the project has begun. The group "Kar-men" won first places at various competitions and became the owner of the "Ovation" award. In the same year, Sergei Lemoh wrote several songs for Natalia Gulkina, who received great popularity.

The third album "Kar-men" was a collection of the best songs, consisting of remixes on old themes and several new songs. In 1993, the group toured extensively throughout Russia. The soloist "Carmen" appeared in several commercials, took part in the television game "Marathon-15", and also made the soundtrack to the domestic cartoon "Captain Pronin".

The following year, the group released two CDs at once: "Russian Massive Sound Aggression" and "Live ...". It is noteworthy that all the songs for them were written by Lemohom himself, and most of them took the top lines in the music charts. After that, the group came to a creative calm.

The next album was released only in 1996. It consisted mainly of slow songs and was called "Your Sexy Thing". In the same year the group went on tour to Germany and the USA, and also took part in international festivals.

In 1997, the group performed in the television show "Surprise from Pugacheva", presenting a remix of her composition "Robinson". Also this period of time is notable for the release of Lemoh's solo album - Polaris.

Next, the group released an album with disco music - "The King of the Disc." And in 1999 there was an album containing remixes for the first hits, "Back to the Future".

Two thousandth

In 2001, the group celebrated its 10th anniversary, going on tour in Russia and Germany, which lasted a whole year.

The project continues to live, new songs are heard and concerts are held in nightclubs. The soloist of the band "Carmen" keeps pace with the times, he releases fresh and fashionable material. Of course, there is no such popularity as before, but the spectators gladly meet him at concerts that take place several times a month.

In 2014, several hits of the group became soundtracks for the popular TV series "Fizruk". Currently, Lemoh participates in a new project. Young rock band "SidHouse" invited him to release a joint album.

Personal life

The soloist of the band "Carmen" was married twice. The first marriage ended in divorce. The glory that came to the artist disconnected the couple. But Lemoh and the ex-wife Natalia kept friendly relations. They have two children: Alisa and Lyudmila. The musician can not pay due attention to his daughters because of the tight work schedule. The second wife of Sergei - Catherine - a member of the group "Kar-men".
