The sign of conformity is the guarantee of quality. National and international conformity marks, PCT mark

Modern society is called a consumer society. Now a huge variety of a variety of goods has grown as never before. Among such a large number of different manufacturers, the consumer is easily lost and it is very difficult to make the right choice and purchase exactly what is needed. In order to identify really high-quality goods from the total mass, a sign of conformity is designed and developed - a special symbol that is applied to the product or its packaging and tells the consumer that this product conforms to the norms of the state or international standard.

How does the manufacturer receive a conformity mark?

The quality mark can be received by the manufacturer both on a voluntary basis and mandatory. The quality of the goods is checked by special certification commissions that carry out an examination and confirm that this product or product meets all the regulations necessary for this group of products. During the examination, a number of factors are taken into account: from technology to the ingredients that make up the products. Signs of compliance with standards may be public, international, national or even specifically designed for a specific group of products and products. The presence of a quality mark significantly enhances the confidence of customers, and, ultimately, is beneficial for all producers. Therefore, most companies and organizations carry out voluntary certification of their goods, even if this is not necessary.

History

In the XIX century in Russia, merchants sought to supply goods to the imperial court, since it was very profitable. In order to achieve this high honor, their goods had to be of the highest quality, and then they put on it a special sign - the Supplier of the Court of His Imperial Majesty. The products were allowed to put the state emblem, confirming compliance with the high requirements of the Emperor himself. Later in the USSR there was a sign of quality - a pentagonal star, resembling a human figure. This sign of certificate and conformity officially appeared in 1967, it guaranteed the excellent quality of the goods or products, issued by the State Attestation Commission for a period of up to three years. The presence of the treasured asterisk allowed the manufacturer to make a 10% surcharge in the price, and all enterprises sought to get it. In recent years, the USSR has led to the fact that goods that have signs of conformity and quality, were no longer of the same quality as in previous years.

PCT

After the collapse of the USSR, the previous quality mark ceased to be relevant, and new national conformity marks came to replace it. State production standards are strictly regulated and verified by the relevant authorities and enterprises. The PCT conformity mark (Rostest) is placed only on those products and products that have been authorized by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology under the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation or authorized bodies. Registration of issued signs is carried out by the State Standard of Russia, which is confirmed by a special license. If such a sign is placed on the products, the alphanumeric code of the body that issued the certificate must be indicated under it. It is allowed to use such an image in advertising, on forms, on photo of goods, etc. The PCT mark guarantees the consumer high quality of the purchased products, which corresponds to all state regulations and regulatory requirements adopted in the Russian Federation.

Russian brand

Since 1999, Russia holds national product quality competitions . This sign is assigned to different groups of goods that take prizes in competitive selection. The certificate of conformity certificate looks like a pentagonal emblem, in the center of which there is an image of a two-headed eagle. The Russian brand has three degrees - for the highest-quality service, advanced production technology and the most high-quality goods. This sign is awarded by a non-profit organization and has a public status. For producers who import goods of foreign production to the Russian market for five years or more, there is a special nomination - the supplier of products to the Russian market.

International Quality Marks

Almost all developed countries have their own quality marks, which the manufacturer receives if they comply with all national standards and requirements for the manufacture of their products or products. Different countries have different rules, for example, there are product ingredients or medicines that are banned in a number of countries, but can be applied in other states. In this case, the product can only have a national certificate of conformity certificate, but if it meets the requirements of the international level, then the manufacturer can obtain permission to use international or transnational signs.

European Quality Marks

One of the most recognizable and common is the CE mark - Conformite Europeenne, European conformity. It is important to keep in mind that labeling products with these letters does not speak so much about that good quality product, how much about its safety. Such a symbol means that the product conforms to the production standards adopted in the countries of the European Union. The same applies to all products produced not in European countries, but falling onto the European market. For products that belong to the group of electronic and technical equipment, the presence of the ENEC mark - European Norms Electrical Certification is mandatory. The presence of such a symbol on the product guarantees the safety and high quality of electrical equipment. In the UK, the sign of quality is the letters BSI - British Standarts Institution. It is assigned to products by management systems and speaks of independent certification. The TUV mark is a marking of one of the oldest organizations in Germany, certifying various products and products. This sign can be made in any color and include a variety of inscriptions.

ISO standards

ISO, International Organization for Certification is an international transnational organization dealing with standards. It was established in 1946 with the direct participation of the USSR, among other 25 states. The standards of this organization are numbered depending on the group of products, compliance with these international standards guarantees the high quality of products or products and is recognized in many countries of the world. ISO certification is placed on products, packaging or directly on the product itself.

Ecological signs

Recently, most people care about the environment, and often the choice of a particular product or product by the consumer depends on the presence of certain signs that indicate the ecological compatibility of the product. The most recognizable of these signs is a dot, can be depicted in green or even in black and white. This image means that the packaging can be recycled. Arrows, located in a triangle, also mean environmentally friendly packaging - waste disposal for future use. A little man with a basket means asking the manufacturer to throw the package in the trash can, not under his feet. This sign is applied to those types of goods that are used outside the home - various wrappers, wrappers, etc. In the CIS countries, this sign is often used by manufacturers incorrectly - it can be found on the packaging of washing powder or toothpaste. Placement of the symbol on these products simply does not make sense.

There is a marking of goods of a certain group, indicating their use. For example, the Latin letter U in the circle around the world is used to refer to kosher food, and the Vegan sign with chamomile, made in green, is applied to products that are only for vegetarian cuisine and shows that the product does not contain any herbal ingredients. Schematically drawn rabbit with the inscription Not tested on animals says that during the development of technology experiments with animals were not conducted. Such signs, bearing important information, help the consumer to make a choice in favor of a particular product or product.

A manufacturer authorized to use quality marks has a great competitive edge. A conformity mark is a guarantee that, when making a purchase, a consumer will not stumble on low-grade products, that the purchased goods will not cause harm to health or the environment.
