Symbols of Russia: anthem, tricolor and two-headed eagle

Historically, with the formation of the state before its rulers, the question arose how one can single out the sovereignty of his country, regardless of the change of government and dynasties. And the way out was found. These are national symbols.

Any state in the world has its own official symbolism. The most important difference of any country in the international arena is, of course, the national flag, the emblem and the national anthem. For Russia this is a two-headed eagle, tricolor and anthem, written for A. Alexandrov's music. This is the identification complex of our country in the international arena, the subject of its pride, symbolizing both the unity of the nation and, of course, independence. State symbols also have practical value: they are displayed on seals, on coins, on banknotes and so on.

Russian tricolor

The national flag of the Russian Federation is its official distinguishing sign. It was approved by President Yeltsin in 1993. It is a cloth with a ratio of 2: 3 sides, a rectangular shape, consisting of three equal bands. The upper band is white, the middle bar is blue, and the lower bar is red. Since the earliest times, the main distinguishing feature of the flag was its recognizability from a long distance, which allows it to be used in open spaces.

Double-headed eagle. Value

The State Emblem of Russia is a definite distinctive sign drawn up according to the rules of heraldry. The coat of arms "Two-headed eagle", like the flag, was approved by Yeltsin as the state Russian symbolism.

The double-headed eagle "looks" in different directions. One of his heads is turned to the East, and the other to the West. On his chest is a shield with a silver rider on a silver horse. This rider strikes with a silver lance an overturned snake. Both heads are crowned with small crowns, over which stands one big. All crowns are connected by one ribbon. The symbol of solid power is the attribute of honor and grandeur - the scepter in the right paw and the power - in the left.

The double-headed eagle that is minted on Russian ruble coins is no longer the emblem of our country, but merely a symbol of the central Russian bank. Unlike the main "bird" of the country, the wings of this feathered "predator" are omitted.

Be glorious, Fatherland!

Among the three official symbols, the anthem occupies an honorable place in the image of Russia. Unlike the flag and the coat of arms, the national melody and its words are always in the heart of a person. After all, every citizen of our country should memorize the creation of Alexandrov and Mikhalkov by heart and, if necessary, demonstrate his belonging to the state - to fulfill his native anthem.

The unspoken symbolism

Did you know that national symbols are not only officially accepted flag, emblem and anthem. They may be and not having a formal status, but well-known subjects, with something associated. For example, the Moscow Kremlin is an unchanging "visiting card" of our country, and the Gallic cock is a traditional symbol of freedom-loving France, by the way, here it is possible to include the Eiffel Tower. In addition, unspoken symbols can also be famous geographic objects, for example, the Fuji volcano in Japan, or the Amazon River in South America.
