Terry gloxinium from beads: a master class

Gloxinia is an attractive houseplant with tubular flowers. It blossoms abundantly in the summer, being covered with a whole bouquet of bright inflorescences, but for the winter the upper part dies off, leaving behind only an empty pot. Create a flower that will never fade and will please its owners all year round, you can use the technique of beading. There are several schemes of gloxinia from beads. Let's consider an option for making a terry bud.

Terry gloxinium from beads: a master class

To create a flower you will need beads of three shades, for example pink, white and green. The bud consists of 3 internal and 4 outer petals. Separately, you need to make stamens. Of green beads, sepals and foliage are performed. For sepals and inner lobes, a wire of 0.3 mm in thickness is needed. Work begins with the creation of internal petals.

  1. On the axial part, dial 18 beads, make 4 arches on both sides, collecting as many beads as necessary. To make the material easier to type, cut the end of the wire diagonally.
  2. On the fifth arc there will be white edging. You can do it by typing 5 white beads and passing the end of the wire through the 4 beads of the previous arc, repeating this process along the entire edge of the petal.
  3. Fasten the ends of the wire by tightening them.
  4. Make 2 more petals.

How to weave the outer petals and stamens

Now let's take care of the outer gloss of the gloss of beads. The wire for them should be thicker than for the inner part - a minimum of 0.4 mm. The same diameter will be needed for foliage.

The work begins in exactly the same way as in the case of the inner lobe:

  1. Type 18 beads on the axis and make 4 arcs, and then put so many beads on the wire to pass it past the previous arc below 13 beads from the top. So the denticle is formed. Wire must be secured.
  2. Then, dial the beads and lower the wire, fixing it on the lower end of the petal.
  3. On the next arc, pass the wire one bead higher than the previous one. Again, lower the wire down and, having typed on it the right amount of beads, fasten. Repeat one more time. There should be three rows with denticles.
  4. Create a denticle on the other side of the petal in the same way.
  5. At the final stage, you need to make edging with white beads. It starts with the tenth bead from the bottom and is performed in the same way as for the inner petals.
  6. Make 3 more petals.

Stamens are needle-threaded. To do this, dial 40 beads on the wire, then pass 30 beads and every 10 go through the wire in the opposite direction, forming 3 stitches on the foot. Stamens will need 3 pieces.

Sepals and foliage for gloxinia

At the next stage of creating a gloxinia from beads, let's take care of the green part of the plant. For sepals, dial on the axis 12 beads of green color and make 3 arcs on both sides, and then fasten the wire. Do 5 pieces.

To create leaves, you need wire 0.4 mm thick.

  1. On the central axis, type 25 beads and make 3 arches on both sides.
  2. On the fourth arc, start forming denticles. To do this, pass the wire through the ninth bead of the previous row and, lowering it down, type the desired number of beads to finish the row.
  3. Then, again, type the beads and thread the wire 8 beads lower than on the previous arc. Repeat, follow the opposite side of the sheet in the same technique.
  4. Do 3-4 sheets.

Assembling gloxinia from beads

To build a flower you will need thick wire. First, fasten the stamens, then - the petals, with the wrong side outward. The flower will turn out to be heavy, therefore carefully fix its parts among themselves, otherwise they will disintegrate. For additional fastening, you can sew the edges of the leaves with wire. Then, one by one, add sepals, attaching them to the flower bud with a floristic tape of brown or green. Lastly, attach the leaves.

Decoration of the product

Having made three such flowers and a sufficient number of leaves, you can do a gloxinia design from beads and place it in a pot or opaque vase. To fix the product, you need alabaster or gypsum, which is bred to the consistency of sour cream. It must be carefully poured into the container and wait a little until the mixture becomes denser.

Then the thick wire to which the flowers were fastened is shortened, and the buds and leaves are placed tightly together in the pot. When the mixture completely solidifies, it can be dyed brown or artificial moss. Usually because of the broad leaves of the plant the soil is not visible, but the flower will look more natural against the background of greenery.

The scheme of weaving gloxinium from beads is quite simple and understandable even for beginners. The flower can be collected in another way, using fewer petals or sewing from a single cloth. The leaves are also performed in various techniques, which allows you to combine different options and create unusual compositions.
