"Diazolin" (application of the drug).

The drug "Diazolin", whose composition is fairly simple, is a crystalline white or cream powder (mebhydroline). This substance is practically insoluble in water and organic solvents. The drug "Diazolin", the use of which is not allowed for ulcer of the duodenum, stomach and inflammation in the digestive tract, in contrast to suprastin, diprazine and diphenhydramine does not give a sedative and hypnotic effect. This property allows the use of this drug in those cases when it is not desirable to inhibit the antihistamines on the central nervous system. Undesirable effects such as drowsiness, slowing of reaction, visual impairment are observed, as a rule, when taking large doses of the drug.

With irritation of the mucous GIT, nausea, dryness in the oral cavity, heartburn, vomiting, dyspeptic phenomena, constipation are often noted. In the urinary system, there may be impaired urination. Very rarely, such abnormalities of the hemopoietic organs as agranulocytosis and granulocytopenia are observed.

The drug "Diazolin" in lactation and pregnancy is prescribed with great care. In this case, it is possible to reduce the dose and increase the intervals between doses of the drug. The safest period for taking the drug is the end of the second trimester. At this time, the possible effect on the future child is reduced to a minimum. In pregnancy and during lactation, the drug "Diazolin" is taken once a day for 1 tab. Also, it is necessary to exclude from the diet products that can cause an allergic reaction. You should also use the drug carefully against the background of kidney and liver diseases. Store this medication in a dark and dry place at normal temperature.
