TagAZ "Hardy": owner feedback

In Russia, the automobile industry is developing extensively. A few years ago the list of domestic brands was replenished with a new producer - TagAZ. This plant produces not only cars, but also light commercial vehicles. Among the latter is TagAZ "Hardy". Owner reviews, specifications and other useful information will be reviewed in our today's article.

Characteristic

What kind of car is this? TagAZ "Hardy" is a compact truck produced at the capacities of Taganrog Automobile Plant from 2012. The machine is designed to be the most affordable in its class. TagAZ "Hardy" has no competitors in its price range. The machine is designed for small urban traffic, is characterized by compact dimensions and maneuverability.

The TagAZ "Hardy" car is produced in several versions:

  • Flatbed truck.
  • Tilt and isothermal van.
  • Refrigerator.

Car Design

TagAZ "Hardy" has a simple design of the cabin. Externally, the design is very similar to the Japanese minibuses of the 90's (in particular, the Toyota Noah). The cab at the truck is very narrow. The bumper, regardless of the configuration, is not painted in the color of the body. However, it has round fog lights. Head optics are very high. The radiator grill is also black and slightly exits beyond the limits of the optics to the hood.

The TagAZ "Hardy" car has rather compact wings with small repeaters of turns. The door handles and mirrors are also unpainted. Wheels - stamped, 14 inches. Behind stand single "skates", which once again speaks of the car belonging to a light class. The car has a high ground clearance of 17.5 centimeters. From behind, one immediately remembers the Chinese "Fav" 1031, which has the same narrow chassis and a wide booth. This is not surprising, because half of the nodes were borrowed from trucks from China. For example, you can take TagAZ "Master" - the same "Dong-Feng", only in the Russian version.

Vehicle interior

Inside TagAZ "Hardy" - a typical "Chinese". Even the wooden decoration is made in the same way as in the "Fotonas", "Bavakh" and other Asian trucks. The panel design is simple and ascetic. At the very least, TagAZ "Hardy" characterizes owners' reviews. The central console has two small deflectors, a pair of buttons, a radio tape recorder and a control unit for the stove. At the feet of the passenger there is a compact glove compartment. The handlebars are three-spoke, made of rigid plastic. On the column there are two "petal-switch". The steering wheel is not equipped with an airbag. There is only a belt with a pretensioner. Between the driver's and passenger's seat there is hardly enough space for the gearshift and handbrake lever (it's the usual one here, on the cable drive). Instrument panel - with white scales. The tachometer is missing, which is very strange for a truck. Door cards are sheathed with dermatome. There are no electric windows - the window opens with the usual "oars".

Reviews of the owners say that there is not enough space inside. Also there is no convenient glove box, where the documentation in A-4 format (as on "GAZel") could fit. And in fact in this field of activity it is often necessary to carry accompanying documents and invoices. There are also problems with adjusting the seats.

Vehicle Specification

Just as in the case of GAZel (before the appearance of the "Business"), under the hood there is only a gasoline unit. Its working volume is 1.3 liters, capacity - 78 horsepower. The torque at 4 thousand turns is 102 Nm. Coupled with this engine is a manual gearbox for 5 steps. This is the only engine in the line, available for TagAZ "Hardy". Its technical characteristics are rather weak. Therefore, in the passport data, the maximum load capacity is up to 990 kilograms in the onboard version. In view of the small working volume, the engine is highly economical. In the urban cycle, the commercial TagAZ "Hardy" consumes up to 9 liters of fuel. The motor corresponds to the ecological standard "Euro-4". At the same time, it perfectly "digests" the 92nd gasoline. The machine is not dynamic, however, it can travel at a speed of 100-110 kilometers per hour. But the most comfortable for this car is the speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Also it is worthwhile to understand that it has a high center of gravity because of the huge clearance. The car is swept in turns, especially when fully loaded.

TagAZ and transportation

Due to its compact dimensions, Hardy has become a competitive car for intercity transportation. The length of the car is 4.4 meters, width - 1.7 meters, height - no more than two (depending on the body). High ground clearance allows you to reach any point of unloading, including sharp climbs and high curbs. The car is able to drive where there is not even a three-meter "Gazelle" turned up. In this, as many owners note in their reviews, the main advantage of the commercial car is "Hardy".

Problems

Many owners are not complaining about weak technical characteristics. TagAZ "Hardy" is characterized by poor build quality. So, a year after the operation, the paint on the fuel tank is peeling off (it is necessary to process it independently by anti-grab), there are problems with the steering. The instrument panel is not informative, sometimes the speedometer and the odometer "bug". And after all, it is necessary to pass strictly according to a given kilometer. A similar problem was at the first "Nekstah", where the odometer was reset to a field of 60 thousand. Despite the fact that the car is manufactured in Russia, the owners complain about the lack of spare parts. The car was withdrawn from production in 2014, so finding something new will be very difficult, unlike GAZel. Among other problems - a weak electrician at TagAZ "Hardy". The ignition coil malfunctions, the passing beam disappears.

Cost and complete sets

Since the machine has already been discontinued, it can only be found in the secondary market. The cost of the most "fresh" van of 2014 is 360-380 thousand rubles.

In the basic configuration, the TagAZ "Hardy" car is equipped with an electric power steering (control here rack and pinion), an ABS system, rear and front fog lamps. The difference in the complete sets depends on the body type. "Hardy" can be equipped with four types of bodies (we listed them at the beginning of the article), including the chassis.

Question of purchase

Now the main question remains - is it advisable to buy a cargo TagAZ "Hardy" for commercial activities? Many carriers negatively answer this question. The first reason that TagAZ "Hardy" is unprofitable, is the lack of spare parts. The car was removed from production 3 years ago, and there is nothing on the dismantling due to the low prevalence of the model. Also the machine is very problematic in maintenance. Many services refuse to repair such a car (again, due to illiquidity). In terms of comfort TagAZ "Hardy" leaves much to be desired.

Conclusion

So, we found out what TagAZ "Hardy" reviews, specifications, design and price. The car "drowned" among competitors. Small dimensions are not enough to be better than GAZel. Again, do not forget about the "Chinese". The eastern part of the Russian Federation and does ride a Japanese car. In this class, the best option is the Hyundai Porter. The machine has good build quality and has a sufficient margin of reliability. In view of these circumstances, TagAZ decided to remove the Hardy from mass production.
