The history of the creation of the Drama Theater named after Victor Savin

The founder of the theater, whose name the temple of the arts now wears, assembled in 1918 a troupe of amateur actors, for whom he himself wrote the play. At the beginning of 1919 the premiere of a performance for his work was held. The audience accepted the production with delight. In 1921 Victor Savin became the organizer of the theater association, which lasted 8 years and played a very important role in the development of culture in the region. Soon there was a need to create a professional theater. And in 1930 specialists from Moscow were invited to the city, which theatrical courses held for amateur actors for a month.

After that, the KIPTT-Komi Instructional Mobile Demonstration Theater was organized. But only in 1936 theatrical art in the city reached a professional level. There were professional artists, the leader became Vyborov VP - a graduate of the Leningrad Technical College of theatrical art. As a result, a dramatic theater was formed, the premiere production of which was Maxim Gorky's play "Egor Bulychev and Others." Since then and to this day the performances here take place in Russian and in the language of the Komi. The name of Viktor Savin was given to the theater in 1978.

This theater began its existence in 1992. Its founder is People's Artist of the Republic of Komi SG Gorchakova.
